Goodbye Harlequin
This was enormously boring, confusing, and gratuitous.
The Sound of Your Voice
(spoiler-y review) "But hey... Hitting those kids... It felt pretty good, didn't it?" ......holy shit...... -- -- -- The mutual confession (not Jimmy's lone confession) was pretty underwhelming... It was like the manhwa-ga was having trouble trying to flesh it out and ended up just doing the stereotypical "I knew but was scared" like what? After that, it was cute, but that one part was just so weird. Dominic's outburst never gets resolved--and I mean that the story leads you to believe there'll be some kind of character arc with Dominic that will tell us (since it has been a recurring problem in the story) and why he's so hostile towards Jimmy, but we never really find out, which ends up making the whole ganging up on Ethan weirdly pointless. But, wow, I was pleasantly surprised with the "plot twist." Usually, when authors slip in their title to show its meaning, it's either hit or miss--it was either obvious or not. And, this was not as obvious as we thought. If anything, we could also use the title to mean a myriad of things that occur in the story, and that makes it that much better. Regardless, it was one of those rare times I was surprised and content with how they ended this story. (Usually, in my opinion, BLs don't come to a satisfying end). This webtoon would be a fantastic way to get into BL.
