I Have To Be A Great Villain
Stopped on 158 This is getting more and more uninteresting as I read it...... Suuuuper disappointed with the weird S&M direction they went with this story. The beginning of the story was really hyping it up to become a really sweet, comedic, and corny story with a decent amount of drama. However, the S&M aspect was so out of left field for me that it just took me out of the story. Qin Xian seemed to be becoming someone that wanted to get rid of the SO, so that he could finally have the gentle brother he knows Wang Yi is, so the whole crossdressing thing is a little frustrating.. I do get that they're trying to stimulate the original novel's plot, but it's weird that they didn't just forgo the crossdressing once they realized it was more important to make the plot "more exciting " and decide to be an A1 protagonist like Qin Xian said he was studying up on since.... BL is already extremely exciting in of itself. I guess in this way, I feel like Scum's Villain does it really well because of its consistencies and confidence in its plot and character's personalities--even when the character becomes corrupt.

In A Heartbreak
Stopped on 23 Cute art, confusing as all hell, students Why tf is the plot so complicated???? It's becoming too wordy and too convoluted for no reason! Was it really necessary to bring Mingun's brother into it...? It feels like it was just something randomly thrown into the plot, but there was no allusion to there being any tension about it. Like.. I dont understand what was even the point of that confrontation... It doesnt feel like anything was really revealed or why it's relevant to the story. Another thing, Yeri said she wasnt behind the scissors attack, so was it the red-headed guy..?
Hero VS. Villain
It gets super rushed towards the end. Relationships happen with no background. Pointless deaths. Barely any fighting or strategy. Sudden change in character to propell the plot forward. I feel like they downplayed the Demon Queen's power at the end. I feel like she was totally capable of killing the Bone King and ending Ridley's curse. I don't feel like she had to die. I feel like they realized they were making Victoria too OP and evil that there was no way for Vandel & Ridley to win. It almost doesn't make sense why she suddenly became good despite all the evil. If they offered a couple chapters dedicated to her life, it might've made more sense, but ig it was too much for them? 51 - OUT OF POCKET "I'm sorry princess... but my dad was a little too busy being dead" Shounen ai/drama/Demon/prince/ knight/BL/manhwa/lalatoon
My Hot Friend Is Glowing
I feel like this could have been more well-developed in terms of plot and their relationship. I was hoping that Jihan could go through with his original plan to really see if how he felt towards Jae was was more than superficial because I didn't feel at all convinced that his feelings were authentic. I especially feel this way because his feelings up until seeing his face have shown nothing more than fondness towards his friend, and whenever romantic development did happen, Jihan was incredibly averse to it. When Jihan just decides to accept dating Jae, it feels rushed and like the manhwa-ga gave up trying to work out how to get the argument to a resolution. As for the plot: I'm not sure if they made the plot so ridiculous because the manhwa-ga wasn't trying to take the story seriously enough or if they were really attempting to make an effort to explain why Jihan saw Jae so weirdly. It was just too convoluted (or maybe just plain weird) to find funny and satisfying. Again, it just feels like the manhwa-ga gave up. I feel like the reasoning didn't need to be so intertwined with the supernatural(?) I think the story would've done well to leave it partially to the imagination. Not everything needs a huge background story. All in all: This story has a lot of potential but falls flat to make you invest and believe in the relationship.
