Shen Fu stabbed a man to death as self defense at the time, which left him a trauma. These days, the three lives by going around cheating people off their money. They arrived at a city this time with a target, which turned out to be a gae young master. Having lost a ring while entangling with Jiming, Ah Fu had no choice but to get it back from him, which is when their fate began to intertwine. Jiming's family is a mess. As I understand it, his aunt and cousin want him off, his grandfather wanted to use him¿ (I thought he was good at first when he wanted his granson to inherit stuff, but bruh he's just a forceful and homophobic prick). Jiming's parents had quite the love story. His father fell in love with a beautiful woman who is said to have an oriole's voice, but it all ended in a tragedy because of a deception. The grandfather bribed officials and tampered with the votings. If the account books were found, it will greatly topple the power dynamics. Which is why Jiming needed to use Ah Fu. As said, if you don't want them to find your weakness, show them a weakness they could exploit. For a while now, Jiming's grandpa wanted him to marry a girl from this family, which Jiming didn't feel like doing, so he showcased Shen Fu. They started cohabitating. One day, Jiming took AhFu at hunt geese, but was shot in the process, but also having Shen Fu his first gun kill. After being treated, it was found that the bullet used is from a gun his cousin recently bought. His grandfather gave an earshot to his cousin, and that'sanother winning scheme for him. Using AhFu, Jiming became a general, that's after Shen Fu got triggered being surrounded an hit by men. The trauma of him stabbing a man to death. The next plan involved using their marriage as pretense and cover, Jiming brought down the old man with smoke addiction. He also caugh his aunt and sis cousin as hostages. He then went to the frontlines, taking AhFu with him, who was by this time known as his precious concubine. In the camp, Jiming gave Shen Fu the dager he gave last time he was kidnapped and added a gun as well, which is how he knew Jiming is once again acting. That night he was kidnapped, and Jiming's cousin proposed a switch of hostages which involved Shen Fu the pampered concubine in exchange of the aunt and sis cousin. Shit went down the drain. The act went Shen Fu stabbed Jiming, made the cousin spill the beans as to where the account books are located, bring down the cousin, and get blown off by the landmine. They dropped below and sustained minor injuries except for Jiming who was stabbed and fell hugging Shen Fu. Shen Fu, Jiming, his loyal guard, and sis cousin went to a hidden mini hut. The loyal guard went to bring sis cousin to the medics so he went first, which left Shen Fu to take care of the injured and sick Jiming. Although he wanted to escape, which he had been planning since the beginning but never did because of his family, he stayed. Jiming woke up and promised to let him go once they arrived back. The next day, the had to move as the enemy reinforcement is looking for them. Jiming's wound re-opened on the way but they were safely rescued. Shen Fu went back to his sister after arriving, but was immediately threatened by this man who was previously one of the orphanage kids and was adopted earlier on by a rich family. Before the couple went to the front lines, he had his men capture the lil bro, and is now threatening them in exchange for info leaks of the Fu family, which involved the account books. Shen Fu had no choice but to go back to Jiming. This time, he planned to get the books hidden in the library, but was guarded even in midnight

I really can't explain it Ps. Sighh people can't appreciate this story anymore... a relationship isn't black and white, and it's easy to overlook the little nuances, gestures, and attachments in a relationship that makes it harder to let go. People also need to consider that 7 years is already a long period of time staying together. Mc is decisive enough to make a break when he felt wronged this time, I believe he would've done the same if the situation occured in the past. The reason their relationship feels worn down is because the ml is always busy, and would sometimes take out his frustrations at home, but it was never said that he took it out on his lover (like physical violence). Mc also knew the reason his partner is acting like that and chose to compromise, I understand some of you guys would dislike this part of him, can't blame you honestly. I also hate doormats, but this one didn't annoy me. The mc was written so well and the portrayal done splendidly. I have no qualms, this is beautiful.
