Wish this one's more popular than those BLs with toxic leads. It's an awesome read and the length really hit the spot with how the author rolled out the story- the problems and resolutions weren't dragged on nor were they resolved magically, it's also great how the author handled the representation of someone who has trauma and severe mental health issue, there was a bit of angst but it was not romanticized at all and it wasn't made into the uke's entire personality. I also like the fact that tho they're very clingy and lovey dovey they actually do have other things that they're doing, normal careers that they perform outside of their significant others (I've read plenty where either the uke or seme is so reliant on the other that all they do is insist on hanging out almost exclusively. This uke literally has a codependency issue and yet he was able to maintain a functioning career, so what's their excuse? lol) Another thing, this seme is such a green flag that I a was a bit skeptical that he'd turn out to be a flat character who's just a goody two shoes or a manic pixie dream boy, but no, he's actually has depth, I liked that part when he retaliated to the editor and also the fact that he can be oblivious at times in his attempts to help the uke instead of automatically assuming everything correctly like he can absolutely read his mind all the time (which is unrealistic). One thing that was a bit meh for me but still has some potential was those chaps about the editor and the newbie author, I really couldn't care less about that prick, if the main seme weren't able to save the main uke on time, that editor would've committed murder, one that was painful because the victim suffered extensively for it, and then he doesn't even realize this even after the incident, that guy has some serious savior complex that needs actual therapy too. I do think the second uke likes him for real, but much like others in the comment section, I'd like to see him break up with him too so he gets a taste of that codependency that he desperately tries to inflict on others.
