Taming the Tiger
And never fails, brothers without a tomorrow always manages to make me cry. This is no exception. They love each other so much it aches. The storyline is superb (although similar to another story from bwot) But different enough to make it its own. I loved the ending. A lowborne falls and love with a highborn they fall madly in love with each other but life is unkind and they meet in the next life and live out their happily ever after. SUPPORT THE AUTHOR ON LEZHIN!
Mayday mayday mayday!
A money launderer who is very timid falls in love with the mafia boss. I didn't like the incest and rape that's why I couldn't give it five stars but it was really funny at points and the sex is really hot. I also liked how they got back at the rapist. I really wish we could see him and his entire family falling apart. I hate how the family did the ML dirty. His own family went against him and yet a mafia boss saved him. Wow.
Here U Are
Tall reclusive guy catches the attention of shorter enthusiastic guy. They fall in love all their friends fall in love they essentially live happily ever after. This was an interesting one because it tackled real life issues in the LGBT+ community. I didn't like the censoring though. The author had really funny ways of announcing hiatuses, I liked that. Also inserted themselves in the monua sometimes annoyingly sometimes cleverly even when it was annoying I still kind of enjoyed it. I wish we could have had some of those questions answered in the second to last chapter though. Closure would have been nice. I really liked the comedy in the last chapter!
Gold Gray
An omega made in a lab falls in love with a superior alpha whose mom was made in a lab. They fall deeply in love and create miracles on top of miracles to live happily ever after. I didn't like the treatment of omegas, it's bad in most stories but this one had a unique kind of disrespect. I didn't like the black and white of course but the moments where they had the colorful flowers, those flowers were freaking detailed and beautiful! Luckily the side story is in color and it really brought out the beauty in the artwork. I couldn't give it a five stars because of the trauma and the black and white but this was a pretty good story. The baby really enhanced this story and made me hesitate giving it a five star. The dirty talking was hot. Sometimes the sex is really hot too.
Save me gently
This one was full of trauma, the only trauma it didn't has was sexual trauma which is a relief. Two teenagers have a traumatic past and one of them turns suicidal/murderous and obsesses over the other. The other is just trying to live his life and is fighting for his life at every turn including with the crazy pants. Finds a good guy falls in love. Crazy pants don't like it and kills a puppy and tries to kill himself but everything turns out good in the end. I wish we could see some kind of reckoning happen between that horrible stepmother and half brother as well as crazy pants getting in trouble for murdering defenseless animals.
Unluckily Lucky
The romance is nearly non-existent. This was a very PG story (as far as BL goes) it definitely had its share of trauma. 4-year-olds made a pact to give each other luck resulting in one being extremely unlucky and one being way too lucky. The lucky guys family dies leaving him survivors guilt and he's constantly attempting suicide. They meet later in life and and have to hold hands to change their look. This needs an epilogue or something, do they tell each other how they feel? Does the lucky guy come to realize how he feels? How do they live the rest of their lives?
The Law of Raising a Wolf
There was so much potential with this one but the writing was just bad. Plot holes / inconsistencies, unanswered questions and the way that it ended just felt incomplete. Not to mention the censorship, I know it's a shounen ai But we can't even get to understand what's actually happening? Will you leave it all up to imagination? And then the blatant "gay agenda" declarations at the end was cheesy. The only reason why it is not a one star is because like I said it had potential. What did it have to do with a wolf or feeding anything at all?
Back to School
tags I can't add because I'm on my phone. It was easy to sympathize jihyun, I don't like that. His father abuses him which turns him into a messed-up person and he just can't get his temper under control. He's deeply in love with his best friend, his best friend knows it but keeps him at arms distance, strictly, not too far not too close. Basically plays with his emotions only to end up with another guy. I feel like the real reason why he couldn't be with him is because of his psycho-temper. He's downright crazy pants at some parts. I hope that he finds love and peace abroad. He truly deserves therapy, anger management, jail time but at the end of it peace and love (maybe idk I'm confused). He never stood a chance from the beginning. But chiwoo also deserves better than the psycho and ki is perfect for that. Although I like the art I don't think it fit high school. These guys look to be in their thirties but they're like 1819. I think the art style fit better for more of a mafia genre rather than school. Even when they drew them when they were young they still looked much older. Going to the side stories! Edit: now that I'm thinking about it, if they would have shown that he actually raped him and not just beat him up I think I wouldn't have sympathized with him so much. I don't wish him love anymore not really because I don't believe rapist deserve peace or love. I don't know if people can change enough to to deserve that. The whole situation is just fucked up and I hate how chi just let him get away with everything. After this realization I'm taking one of my stars away.
Back to School: All Grown Up
This was more like an epilogue rather than a sequel. It was nice to see how everything resolved. The sex and sweet nothings were hot. Watching him sob as he drove away made me sad, and I hate that! He's a rapist, and he put him in the hospital twice. Why did they portray him so sympathetically? I hated sympathizing with him but I really felt bad for him. I was glad to see him in an alternate universe. I wish we could have gotten more of an explanation and more of a feel for their relationship to see how different they are. They still had the sharp banter, but it was just that banter it wasn't actually arguing like the original story. I wish we could have seen how that developed so we could feel more comfortable with them being together. It was weird seeing him have sex with one and then the other. I wish we could have seen more of both relationships. Just to get a feel of it. It was too short that's why I couldn't give it a five star. Also I thought it was interesting that they decided not to have chi say I love you to jh Even in the alternate universe, I love that level of petty LMAO Edit: That car ride where he sobs really made me feel sorry for him but when I think back that he actually raped him not only put him in the hospital and the fact that I'm able to sympathize with him is because the author didn't portray that and left that completely out (I think they were thinking that it was vague but it was actually absent) If they would have had that in there I would have been like so pissed that he just let him get away with everything. That car ride would not have been enough retribution for me. They just portrayed it as some psycho with a temper but you could understand why and so you felt for him, And the fact that he let him get away with so much you just thought it was okay, but is really freaking not!
My Bias Appeared?!
