Who Can Define Popularity?

Complete | 拓本,KENAZ,极直社 | 2000 released

I don't know if it was the translation or the original writing but it was hard to follow. Especially when it came to daun's pov towards the finale. It was just really confusing. And then the author says that it should be obvious who the top is but it wasn't? It wasn't totally terrible though, the art was okay, the storyline was coherent sometimes. An insecure guy transforms himself into the most handsome guy, goes to college and find someone even more handsome than he is. That guy falls in love with him and they fall in love with each other and his sister falls in love with the girl that's crushing on him and everyone just falls in love goes to the military there's rumors whatever lol

The Director Who Buys Me Dinner

Complete | Toisa , 퇴사 , Kenaz ,Yang eunji , 양은지 | 2000 released

Started reading this because of the TV show. It's slightly different, the TV show is a little bit more dramatic and explains the past lives more thoroughly. The wife isn't in the TV show either. It's all because of the dad. I wish we could have seen more of the sex but that's okay lol. Overall it was a good story. A blessed soul gets a name and a fate that wasn't theirs. They fall in love with their namesake and live short troubled lives but in love. The last life they get to live with their love but not after losing some memories and gaining them back. It felt rushed. And without the TV show a lot of it was kind of unexplained.

Here U Are

Complete | DJun | 2000 released

Tall reclusive guy catches the attention of shorter enthusiastic guy. They fall in love all their friends fall in love they essentially live happily ever after. This was an interesting one because it tackled real life issues in the LGBT+ community. I didn't like the censoring though. The author had really funny ways of announcing hiatuses, I liked that. Also inserted themselves in the monua sometimes annoyingly sometimes cleverly even when it was annoying I still kind of enjoyed it. I wish we could have had some of those questions answered in the second to last chapter though. Closure would have been nice. I really liked the comedy in the last chapter!

Gold Gray

Complete | LEE Geu-rin | 2018 released

An omega made in a lab falls in love with a superior alpha whose mom was made in a lab. They fall deeply in love and create miracles on top of miracles to live happily ever after. I didn't like the treatment of omegas, it's bad in most stories but this one had a unique kind of disrespect. I didn't like the black and white of course but the moments where they had the colorful flowers, those flowers were freaking detailed and beautiful! Luckily the side story is in color and it really brought out the beauty in the artwork. I couldn't give it a five stars because of the trauma and the black and white but this was a pretty good story. The baby really enhanced this story and made me hesitate giving it a five star. The dirty talking was hot. Sometimes the sex is really hot too.

Back to School: All Grown Up

Complete | Oryu | 2000 released

This was more like an epilogue rather than a sequel. It was nice to see how everything resolved. The sex and sweet nothings were hot. Watching him sob as he drove away made me sad, and I hate that! He's a rapist, and he put him in the hospital twice. Why did they portray him so sympathetically? I hated sympathizing with him but I really felt bad for him. I was glad to see him in an alternate universe. I wish we could have gotten more of an explanation and more of a feel for their relationship to see how different they are. They still had the sharp banter, but it was just that banter it wasn't actually arguing like the original story. I wish we could have seen how that developed so we could feel more comfortable with them being together. It was weird seeing him have sex with one and then the other. I wish we could have seen more of both relationships. Just to get a feel of it. It was too short that's why I couldn't give it a five star. Also I thought it was interesting that they decided not to have chi say I love you to jh Even in the alternate universe, I love that level of petty LMAO Edit: That car ride where he sobs really made me feel sorry for him but when I think back that he actually raped him not only put him in the hospital and the fact that I'm able to sympathize with him is because the author didn't portray that and left that completely out (I think they were thinking that it was vague but it was actually absent) If they would have had that in there I would have been like so pissed that he just let him get away with everything. That car ride would not have been enough retribution for me. They just portrayed it as some psycho with a temper but you could understand why and so you felt for him, And the fact that he let him get away with so much you just thought it was okay, but is really freaking not!

Red Candy

Complete | hanse | 2019 released

I really liked this one. I'm not a fan of action but the sex was really hot. I added my highly coveted full color tag because not only did the translators do so well with the redrawings, the actual author pushed the envelope with how far they drew the censored body parts. No one really likes the censoring the authors or the readers. I'm still not sure why everything is so censored. It's rare to see a full color, and it's rare to see an author push the envelope this much. Please support those particular chapters on tapas! Much appreciated! All this sweet nothings all the yearning it was really hot. There were moments where they didn't clue us in on what happened and they never followed up. I didn't like that so much. But I still don't want to give it a four star because overall it was a good story. I wish we could have seen them actually be happy for longer or be in marital bliss. At least see where they got married. A spy falls in love with his target. His target remembers him as his first love when they were four. They have ups and downs, touch and go, but fall in love and get married.

Crash Into Me

Complete | Re-run | 2019 released

This one had an interesting combination of bad points and good points That leveled out. It was rushed, a lot of things especially the passage of time were glossed over. There were uninsured questions, and things like that. But the emotional intimacy at parts was good and the sex fucking hot. Of course black and white is never really optimal, it's hard to understand things visually sometimes and that didn't help. I really loved how he kind of saved his boyfriend from trauma and how he really just shut down anything and anybody. He was really all for him! I wish we could have seen more of the details with the unanswered questions and unresolved or unclosed (no closure) endings. I also really loved how clingy he was. A guy who claims to his sex addict goes after his neighbor after his neighbor repeatedly shows interest in him. Turns out he has a whole bunch of trauma from his past that is lingering on and his neighbor pretty much guides him back into the light and they fall in love and live happily ever after assumingly.

Hey, Prince!

Complete | Lee Cho | 2000 released

This one was fluffy and so funny! I wasn't expecting it to be this funny! I almost put beautiful art tag but Ray looked too much like a little kid. A swindler and emperor to be fall in love, not before they fake their romance because the prince doesn't want to get married. Turns out he was just waiting on Ray. The criminal.

Heesu in Class 2

Complete | Lily | 2017 released

I liked how it was a shounen ai but didn't overly censor things. It was incredibly funny sometimes and really raw and tempting. Lots of yearning and tension. The ending felt rushed though. It also felt like it wasn't enough for the closure. A boy is in love with his childhood friend. But another boy has a crush on him. He seduces him enough to get him away from his childhood friend and they fall in love and become husbands. Meanwhile he's great at giving love advice and someone asks for love advice to be with the class vice president. All goes well and they end up together but because one is older than the other, for various reasons they broke up. 8 years later they find each other again.

the beginning chapters were truly atrocious, some free chapters available on Pocket comics. Please support the author there. This is barely yaoi. This is yaoi the same way that PG-13 sex scenes are rated r. Also I hate reading things that are full of sadness and trauma and so close to real life. This was one of those stories. They tried to sprinkle in some happiness and even slapped on a happy ending, but it just soured the whole experience being so sad. Taejoo also deserved a more profound happy ending with all he went through. He was not perfect but he deserved happiness. Also the raws had so many typos, it was crazy! A guy wakes up from a coma and his love is with someone new. His love is also his best friend from birth. The best friend is sticking with the new love out of obligation but he's still in love with him. He realizes it too late. Now he's moved on to someone new and that's someone new is in the same industry as him and understands his dream and wants to protect his dream. They are a better pair for each other.
