i dont know how to explain it but this concept is weirdly interesting to me : what would happen if you gave powers to a teenager and an old man? it was really fascinating for me to see how they used it in a different way yet for the exact same purpose. although the reason why they became machines is still kinda blurry to me, i do have one irrational theory that comes to mind though
first few chapters were really heart breaking, his family wasnt grateful for his efforts as a really old man (especially the daughter) which kinda pissed me off : they left him all alone unpacking their shit meanwhile they ate at a restaurant; the only person that truly loved him was the dog. also not only his family didnt treat him right, some teenagers didnt treat him right too which pissed the shit out of me.
as he saved people later in the story, his efforts were aknowledged and people started treating him differently than before (including his family), which pretty much shows the hypocritical side of society. the ending was very sad for both characters..
other than that the antagonist was very well written too. a must read!!!
