Both yaoi and Shonen Ai. Barely anything juicy, so almost shounen ai. This was supposed to be the prequel to the manga with the magaka megane brother and his funny relationship with his editor. I read this afterwards and was generally not too impressed. Kinda lacking in parts but not too bad. Definitely not as good as the sequel tho. This time, the Otaku brother, who's literally beyond clumsy and a danger-magnet keeps getting helped and rescued by a guy who's tried his whole life to stay away from Otakus in order to not be declared an Otaku by association. They sorta get close and eventually get together. Kinda not too exciting but oh well. Also had a one-shot at the end of 2 childhood friends, one mixed foreigner and a Japanese one who reunite 6 years after the mixed one comes back to Japan. Also kinda boring tbh

Ore To Joushi No Kakushikoto

Complete | kashima chiaki | 2016 released

Same author as the Hana to Usagi manga so art is kinda nice. I liked the chemistry between the couple. The blackmailing was kinda funny and enjoyable. Didn't like the part with the stupid ex and the almost non-con targeting with strangers prior to the endgame couple moments. I really liked the seme's personality. My favorite part was probably the epilogue (final chapter) where the uke doesn't act like a lover in public and insists on staying inside the whole time. And the seme is so considerate and lovely and eventually convinces him to finally accept he deserves happiness and they're finally both ready to publicly share their happiness and relationship.

On or Off

Complete | A1 | 2000 released

Giving it a 3.5 tbh. Director Kang is honestly really fugly, especially with the scary 'hot' bushy brows. He just wouldn't grow on me whatsoever. Their chemistry was cute and fun but I seriously hated their fantasies at times. And Director Kang was a real doiche at first. Also, I didn't think much of the age at first but when their age gap was revealed I was truly horrified (39 and 23?????). The art was pretty unique but still wasn't the best. Definitely not a favorite of mine but wouldn't mind rereading, but only from chap 59 cuz that's where they officially get together. Oh and, unlike most other stories, I seriously didn't care for the side characters? They were soo lame and unnecessary? Acting like 6 year olds? You have social anxiety, we get it, but it just wasn't portrayed in the best light. They literally had pea brains for people who were literal geniuses in their field. And Kang's secretary was obnoxiously nosy (any other time it would've been cute but she literally Just started working for the scariest, meanest man in town how is she so Comfortable enough to tease him about his love life??) it was very unlikable and so not cute.

How to Snag an Alpha

Complete | kimnyeong | 2019 released

SPECIAL EPISODE COMING UP. KEEP ON THE LOOKOUT SOON. Really love this story. First time I read it I loved it and I'm rereading it. I enjoyed it except I sorta noticed their 'drama' is a little too much? Like I was expecting the baby to be born pretty sson but it took forever. (I think 50 something chaps). I also got to read the Jini and Hyung side story. It wasn't too long nor too short (about 15 ish chaps?) and it definitely could've used more buildup and 'present' situations (there was a lot of flashbacks which I didn't mind tbh) especially where they actually get familiarized with each other instead of just target the whole time and base their relationship off that? It was definitely interesting, nonetheless. I absolutely adore the art (noticed it definitely was very strange at first but improved afterwards) it's very unique and I love the full coloring of it. Would definitely reread (especially the get-togethers of both couples). Update - special episodes are kinda lame? Idk if it's the translation but I literally barely understood a word. And the art isn't the best. It's not awful, but definitely not as great as it was in the later chapters. Also it was an AU so it didn't really build up on the couple's relationship in their 'real' universe (?). So, in general, pretty weak 3 special episodes tbh.

Midori's Secret

Complete | Uzuki coco (卯月ココ) | 2019 released

Probably shouldn't give it 5 stars but it's soooooooo adorable!!!!! It's outrageously short but sooo freaking adorable!!! Art is amazingly lovely and sweet and I love the chemistry between the 2 characters.

Ichinose Kyoudai wa Gaman Dekinai

Complete | Sakurai Mayu | 2000 released

Definitely adorable. The brother complex bits were definitely off-putting at times but it's okay it was definitely a good and enjoyable read. The art was very unique and lovely. I liked some funny scenes as well, they were done very well, especially the facial expressions they sometimes made.

Four Kisses, in Secret

Ongoing | Ruri kamino | 2019 released

I really liked all the one-shots. In order, I'd rate them, from best to (I dont wanna call it worst cuz it so wasn't) 'least best' so I'd have Chap 4 - 3 - 2 - 1. All the stories were adorable and had simple happy endings that obviously concluded with an adorable kiss. Peak Shoujo Content. The 4th chapter aas definitely not the strongest, plot-wise but it definitely was the best one when it came to art. The 3rd chapter was pretty adorable ( the sleeping cushion on) despite its cheesiness. The 1st chapter was the most realistic ish one? Kinda? Childhood friends, that's why. Chapter 2 was the weakest, I can't tell why, I really did enjoy it, it just didn't live up to the others'. It was definitely adorable and funny having the guy make fun of and tease the girl for her awful cooking, but I think the art was a little weak. Either way, lovely read, definitely enjoyed it big time.
