I really like What’s Wrong in the Head with Harada to the point they keep making these super messed up stories. This one in particular just PULLS at my heartstrings and I love it so much. This sort of toxic and crazy, idk, just really entertains and intrigues me. Like, the psychological aspect in this one is super messed in a not-so-intense way like the pedo one Harada made, but it still shows off a darker side of “love” fueled by a really weird obsession of having someone entirely dedicated towards you by controlling their guilt? I don’t know how to explain. I think that the situation is really nothing unique—like, people feel guilty or survivor’s guilt all the time—and it’s lowkey a popular trope in media where someone gets hurt, the other doesn’t, they feel guilty and in debt and overcompensate for them because they view them as weak and incapable. But the circumstances and romantic aspect ADDED makes it really interesting. If you can call it romantic.
