Cold-Blooded Beast
A man picks up his pronounced dead boss on the street and finds the boss has lost his memory and turns into a snake. He takes care of his boss in snake and human form in hopes the boss will get his memory back. It goes way deeper than just a workplace romance, as the boss has been watching over and waiting for the mc for about a hundred years and was in love with the mc in his past life. The boss took the bad luck out of the mc's new life and burdened it, sealing himself away from the world but the mc found him as a child by accident and they were once again entangled with each other. While i don't know if i will ever finish this book, I will say, it was quite the experience to read. This book was SO CUTE at the start but after reading about the mc's past life, i was crying. Seeing the mc's lonely death wishing to see the ml one last time with his hand dropping made me sob. I think it was very mind clearing in a way to see how when the ml tried to put the mc in a fake world to protect him, he had to communicate to the ml that he wanted to feel what was real. I love how they cleared up what could've quickly become toxic. They're just so cute together. I don't think i'll be able to bring myself to finish it and i'm okay with that for right now. c: -started reading 2024/7/1
One Small Step
wow.. i mean just wow. this story is beautiful. the book made me feel warm, made me cry, made me chuckle; i haven't liked a book this much in so long. it reminds me of "glen" for some reason. i was sobbing in my bed reading this. the author did so well in portraying survivors guilt and they made it feel realistic how just because everyone is trying to help you get better, you don't get better overnight. I really feel for Youngwoo alot. I can't imagine what it would feel like to lose a sibling and i probably won't for a very long time. Everything about this story felt so realistic rather than the out of touch modern stories. I sobbed reading the conversation with his brother for the last time. It made my stomach sink in and as i'm writing this, i'm tearing up. The signs Youngwoo barely took note of before his brother's death was so well done. They were so small and barely visible. While at the start i found myself thinking the main character was a bit meh for trying to help him and play hero, i came around to like the main character a lot. i appreciate there are people like him in this world. I love him for what he did and how he reassured Youngwoo and was very patient. I love his little stutter. he's SO CUTE AH ><. its so cute the way Youngwoo blushes at the main character. at some point i stopped caring about the romance tags for this story. this story was so well done that i could care less about it. my heart hurts for Youngwoo and anyone else out there who experienced something similar. Youngwoo's so strong, so very strong. this book will always have a special place in my heart.
To deny the route
This was a whirlwind of emotions. I got so many butterflies even though this was only a Shounen ai. I FUCKING LOVED THIS SHIT I WOULD HAVE IT FOR BREAKFAST LUNCH AND DINNER EVERYDAY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
My Calypso
Greek mythology I really enjoyed this concept a lot more than i thought. The characters are so well developed. I want to have a bigger review for this but i dont know what to say. Its really good but i don't know how to explain it. Aside from the characters and the story itself, i also loved the concept of Calypso having to cut off his hair, which is a main part of someone's physical identity, to help the mc. It shows how much he values him. I wont lie I was on the brink of tears when it came to the mc seeing his family for the last time after becoming immortal. I always get a little upset when thats in a story. The ending wrapping up this beautiful story in a bow like it was early christmas. Thank you for this, it was a blessing to read, for me and my heart.
Dawn of the Dragon
This book is hitting all my senses and a few of my fetishes Welcome back ivantill No seriously he looks so much like Ivan I like the idea of the muse, the work, admiring the artist who yearns for them Reality of long lives, yearning for someone you can’t remember. Tricky because he loves the dragon but it’s because he loves him that he wants him to find his mate. I like how in the past life they showed elements that they both still have in the current- like how mc is still bad at cooking, and still thought the same things when the dragon was cold to him again. I like how even in the next life they still made the same choices and had the same thoughts Love the parallelism It’s intersting to see how they’re almost the exact same as they were in their past lives even though they’ve had different upbringings/ experiences in the current. Mc still wears blue and dragon still wears black taehyuk hyo-un I eat up next lives every time They drew grief well here. I feel bad for the brothers crippling obsession with the mc. I also feel bad for the servant who ordered the mc’s death. Yes they messed up, but they regret it. Being cursed with the remembrance of his past lives is terrible. I usually don’t side with incest but I really do feel for the brother. He went through so many other lives wasting away waiting for the Mc to be born just to be cut loose in the end.
I Became the Lousy Side Top
While this one was on the lengthy side, I have to say I enjoyed it. I loved seeing the mc make up for his character’s past mistakes. And i LOVE when they have the morality argument of whether the people in the world are considered people if they’re sentient or if they’re fictional too. At first towards the end I was a bit iffy because I wanted the mc to confess his identity but I realized that would’ve watered down the plot and the author ended up handling it nicely. Overall this was super cute I don’t want to do a summary on this because I won’t forget it for a while. Good job to the author
Into The Thrill
He's so manipulative. What Wujin said didn't make sense, but it undermines Haewon's confidence and takes away his control in their interactions. He's chipping away at him until Haewon becomes dependent on him. Very scary. It's kind of taming prosses... How scary of him doing something like that without feeling guilty “I let you touch me..and you’re just gonna go..?” ☹️ Executed the dark and disturbing tone very well Everything about this book gives me chills
