A short 30 chapters - A tattoo artist with a crazy stalker ex gets a tattoo appointment in Japan. He flies over from Korea and bam! its the mafia!(wow what a surprise!). They fall in love and sleep together and the crazy ex finds the mc in Korea and tells him that he'll never escape him. The mafia guy is the step son of the mafia leader who nobody likes and his mother killed herself. The mafia guy's older brother goes and tries to kill the tattoo artist but it doesn't work. The mafia leader who is on his deathbed ends up giving his fortune to the step son instead of the biological son, meaning the mafia guy is the next successor for the mafia. The tattoo artist becomes scared of the mafia guy after seeing him kill people and the mafia guy pushes the tattoo artist away and sends him back to Korea. The crazy ex welcomes the mc back and the mc is depressed and ends up having a mental breakdown and stabbing himself while the ex isn't home. The ex decides that the mc was happier with the mafia guy and the mafia guy comes to Korea and visits the tattoo artist on the beach. The crazy ex walks away seeing them happy and bumps into an underling of the mafia guy who helped him before he became the successor. The underling asks if he's got a smoke, which is how the mc and the crazy ex met originally. - it was a pleasant book but i didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i would. It was nice while reading it ig but now that i'm describing it, it really was quite bland but wtv 2.4/5
Legs That Won't Walk
I loved every moment of this manhwa. Even though there are some red flag things throughout the book, the characters really grow by the time the end is near. I honestly liked Minhyun but I liked the main couple as well. I expected the ending to be sad but I’ve never felt so satisfied with an ending to a long story like that before. 10/10 I love this book so much. the ending was so beautiful it doesn’t make me cry, I just smile lightly :) but after that rollercoaster that lasted over a year, I need a refresher. Something happier. Even though the ending is very pleasant, I just feel sad :(. I need something lighter to read after this one. forced prostitution, rape, kidnapping, drugging, murder, confinement, amnesia
Waterside Night
Wow it’s finally over.. I’ve been with this manhwa through thick and thin. Even back when I was with Noah. Picking this up again after almost two years was so worth it. It feels kinda weird to press the ‘already read’ button haha. The character building was phenomenal. Watching the relationship slowly change over time for the better was really healing for me. Seeing Euihyun having issues about feeling “cheap” and “dirty” and Taeju continuously blaming himself after the realization hits him and having an inferiority complex was so interesting to me because it’s such a rarity to see well rounded personalities and thought out relationships in manhwas these days. Seeing the push and pull immersed me into the story more. Seeing Euihyun shake under the alpha at the club felt really realistic :( while I don’t want to say Euihyun‘s relstable bc I don’t hope for his situation on anyone, I will say he’s way more realistic than most ukes. The conception dream at the end of season 2 was a genios set up for season 3 so kudos to the author for that. Even though this manhwa took long to finish, I think the slow updates was a bit refreshing for this. It kinda shows that you can’t force or rush a relationship, you can’t force somebody to be with you, you can’t make them like you. Even though the baby probably won’t ever be shown now that it’s finished, I’m still satisfied. This manhwa made me emotional, I laughed and cried to this. The author did a good job of keeping me on edge too. Some of the scenes felt..quiet in a way I can’t explain it. I started an album called ‘Quiet’ just to put panels that capture that feeling. The morning after a suicide attempt, the feeling sitting alone outside without any music with nobody around and realizing how lonely you truly are. The author captured that feeling really well I almost wanted to cry. It was so beautiful. Overall it touched me to see them have a healthy relationship even after the faltering on both sides and a whole lot of time. I wish nothing but the best for them :) “Because you said that being alive is beautiful, my life became pretty to me too.”
I Became the Lousy Side Top
While this one was on the lengthy side, I have to say I enjoyed it. I loved seeing the mc make up for his character’s past mistakes. And i LOVE when they have the morality argument of whether the people in the world are considered people if they’re sentient or if they’re fictional too. At first towards the end I was a bit iffy because I wanted the mc to confess his identity but I realized that would’ve watered down the plot and the author ended up handling it nicely. Overall this was super cute I don’t want to do a summary on this because I won’t forget it for a while. Good job to the author
