Kemono na Wakagashira wa Dokusen Yoku wo Kakusanai
My rating: 7/10 I like the story and the ML. He's so overprotective of her and I'm a sucker for "unrequited" love tropes. But the FL is kinda dumb always starting things to help him and ending up needing to be rescued. That's frustrating. YAKUZA, AGE GAP After her parent's death the FL finds out she's the head of a yakuza clan's granddaughter. When he takes her in a man (ML) attacks and she saves his life making him swear to protect her. Years later he's the second in command and the succession is at stake.
Hajime no Koi (NISHIMOTO Rou)
My rating: 10/10 This beautiful slow burn manages to tell a pure and emotional story in spite of the topics it addresses. The seme discovers the meaning of love and the uke meets someone who loves him back. Both of them are well-written characters with their own individual personality. The art is gorgeous and the characters are hot. PROSTITUTION, EX YAKUZA, AGE GAP After his boss dies for love the seme leaves the yakuza seeking to live a normal live. One day, he meets a beautiful boy (uke) in a bus who pays for his ride. He can't forget the way the uke looked at his lover. But later he finds out that the uke is a prostitute and decides to buy him every day and study with him to make him stop selling his body.
Tasuketa Yakuza ni Nerawaretemasu
My rating: 8/10 It's an enjoyable read with a bit of drama, a bit of comedy and a cute romance (I u count that rapey stuff at the beginning out). The seme's a playboy yakuza boss and really eccentric ready to enjoy life. The uke's a normie, really cute. YAKUZA, TAXI DRIVER After saving a wounded man who entered his taxi by helping him escape, the man comes to the uke again declaring that he will repay him. He turns out to be a yakuza boss. After the uke doesn't react to the prostitutes he brought, the seme takes him upstairs and has sex with him instead. Since then, the uke has to accompany him on various (scary) occasions.
The Corporate Slave Wants to be Fucked by the Extremely Sadistic Gangster
My rating: 3/10 It's ridiculous and unrealistic, the yakuza doesn't work like that and there's no s&m either. It's entertaining tho, like trash TV. The seme's possessive and jealous and the chapters are short so it's over quickly. YAKUZA, HOUSE KEEPER The uke wants to resign bc he gets exploited but when he enters the director's office, he meets yakuza collecting debt. The director takes the chance and offers him to their leader (seme) in exchange for more time revealing that the uke's gay. That's how he ends up as the seme's house keeper.
Boss! It's Not a Massage Parlour
My rating: 6/10 There's absolutely no way that this comic can take itself seriously. It's comedy mixed with smut (dubcon). The uke's kinda dumb but strong, the seme can easily manipulate him. SMUT, COMEDY, YAKUZA, MASSAGE A yakuza boss (uke) gets a gold coupon for a massage parlor as a gift from a subordinate he saved. But the masseur (seme) makes him wear revealing clothes and starts touching him in weird places.
Anata wa Korosu Tabi
My rating: 8,5/10 It's sad and angsty, I love it. The flashbacks telling u about their past give the characters more depth (I still have questions about that tho). Overall, the setup with the uke having to kill the seme lets their love become more dramatic. YAKUZA, ASSASSIN A yakuza member (uke) gets send on a road trip with an influential yakuza (seme) from his clan. But the uke was ordered to kill the seme by his boss so that his boss can inherit the clan.
Mayday mayday mayday!
My rating: 7,5/10 Obsessive and dangerous semes always catch my attention, but this story here lacks the angst even though the seme is described as a psychopath. It's an entertaining read with a mentally strong and intelligent uke but it's a bit disappointing. I didn't get captivated. MAFIA, OBSESSIVE SEME A small-time money launderer (uke) has been doing business with a dangerous Russian mafia boss (seme) for a year now and can't seem to get away from him even though he wants to live a peaceful life. Things get more complex when people from his past appear once again.
Tsubame's Happiness
My rating: 7/10 It's an interesting story with a good setting, likable characters and entertaining dynamics. The seme's overly serious and the uke's energetic and cheeky, they quarrel a lot. But the ending is rushed, kinda disappointing. YAKUZA, HATE TO LOVE A college student (uke) gets sold off to the yakuza by his own brother. He'd rather die than work for them, but then the boss orders him to take care of the group's workaholic (seme) even though they get along like fire and water.
Mitsumei
My rating: 7/10 It's interesting but I wish it wasn't so short. I want to know more about their backstory, the organisation of the mafia and all that. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading it. I like the protagonists, they're both strong and somewhat opposites at the same time. It's open-ended but with a positive perspective on their future. MAFIA, MILITARY, REUNION Ivan, a spy of the Russian army, must investigate the right arm of a mafia boss. But his target is a very close friend he made in the military academy who he hasn't seen in ten years, Edward. Ivan can't help but wonder what made him become like that.
