Worker, model x duke's daughter, artist
My rating: 10/10
HISTORICAL, STRONG FL, ART, FEMINISM
When she hears that her father secretly engaged her, the free-spirited daughter of an English duke runs away to Paris to paint. There, she meets David, a worker taking care of his siblings and a man so handsome she asks him to be her nude model right away. He agrees in exchange for fair payment, but over the time their relationship develops into something more.
️ Edit (Spoilers):
This story is about deciding who you want to be without trying to make yourself the person others want you to be. It's interesting especially since a woman painting a nude male was a scandal back then and a noble running away from home was nothing less than that. But I love how the FL did what she desired to do nevertheless and how her father, although a bit overwhelmed, supported her in the end. Also, the love between the two main characters is soooo sweet. I mean, she's strong and naive at the same time and sometimes comes over him like a storm, but himself matches her giving her the freedom she deserves and loving her for who she really is.
