Firefighter (seme) x firefighter (uke) My rating: 8,5/10 This is one healthy rivalry motivating both of them to keep going. The characters are well-written, the uke's overthinking and the seme's competitive but mature when it counts. It's straight x gay and really passionate. I love them. COMEDY, RIVALS TO LOVERS, COMPETITION, COCKY UKE, CUTE A cocky and confident Yajima harbors dislike for Torikai, a cool and talented fellow trainee in the Rescue Team. The two constantly quarrel, but one day they cross the line while squabbling and end up sleeping together. Yajima regrets it, but at the same time he cannot get Torikai's pleading expression out of his head. However, because they have been rivals until now, he just can't bring himself to be honest with Torikai. ️ Edit: first 3 chapters: seme's pov, chapter 4-7 mostly uke's pov Turns out the uke had a crush on the seme all along but couldn't act on it because he thought the seme was straight (which he appeared to be before).

Student (seme) x student (uke) My rating: 6/10 It's a simple story about two neighbours with different personalities falling in love. The part with the uke's friend is too easily resolved and therefore kinda unnecessary but overall it's cute. The seme is a player and the uke is cute and innocent but bratty as well. NEIGHBOURS, CUTE, PLAYBOY SEME, TEASING SEME, FLUFF On his first day living alone in Tokyo, Miyazawa Kyouhei - a university student who came from the countryside - encounters Takara Tomohiro, a debauched playboy that lives next door. Takara enjoys poking fun at him for being a country boy though, which makes Miyazawa feel self-conscious around city people. One day, Miyazawa accepts an invitation to Takara’s house and warms up to him a little after experiencing his kindness. During the visit, however, Miyazawa mistakes a condom wrapper for a piece of chewing gum…Takara asks, “Do you want me to put it on you?”, and begins to tease Miyazawa’s lower body. Suddenly a love story between a pure country boy and a city boy that likes to tease begins!

Student (seme) x office worker (uke) My rating: 7,5/10 They're cute. The seme is an easygoing youger playboy and the uke is a serious and cold guy who has bad experience with love. I liked seeing them learn from each other. The seme fell first, he kinda seduced the uke. NEIGHBOURS, PLAYBOY SEME, AGE GAP, SHITTY EX Isumi (30) is a gay office worker moved into a new apartment for singles after he got dumped by his sex friend to turn over a new leave. But his neighbour Enza Kouki, a uni student, turned out to be a fuckboy. Suffering from the moans coming from the other side of the wall at night, he finally dumps salt in front of his neighbour's door to fight "evil spirits". But then the guy catches him and starts getting interested in him instead.

Editor (seme) x novelist (uke) My rating: 8,4/10 ENEMIES TO LOVERS, NEIGHBOURS The young editor Tsukamoto Takahiro who is a huge fan of the Setoguchi Itsuki, gets put in charge of Itsuki while his senior is on maternity leave. But then the author turns out to be his neighbour he has been fighting with ever since that annoying guy moved in. Of course, their bickering continues at work too, but then Takahiro asks him to make his new novel a romance novel and offers him to help him out regarding his lack of romantic experiences.

My rating: 7,5/10 I've read stories with a similar plot but this one is definitely one of the better sort, it's really adorable. This has the "opposites attract" element I like and they complement each other so well. The uke's serious, an introvert and cute, the seme's extroverted and easygoing. NEIGHBOURS, PLAYBOY SEME An office worker (uke) who hides the fact that he's gay ends up drinking with his new neighbour (seme). But then the seme notices his glances and they hook up. That's the start of their special relationship.

My rating: 9/10 This wholesome story is very engaging, I like that it addresses mental health issues in a more realistic way (although the healing process usually takes more time in reality). The uke's calm and the seme extroverted and kind. The art is amazing. NEIGHBOURS, HOARDER After quitting his horrible job, the uke falls deeper into his depression and locks himself in his flat full of trash. But one day, his new neighbour (seme) comes in and starts cleaning the place with him so the landlady won't throw the uke out.
