yuuma/nagisa;; i fucking love it when the uke has a big fat crush on the seme and they refuse to confess and its the seme who ends up confessing first after realizing their feelings… its so good . also i love how yuuma developed his feelings for nagisa—assertive but very gentle . and it’s so nice to read because he knows what he wants and doesnt leave nagisa second guessing anything not to mean ang fucking pogi ni yuuma… i love nagisa’s character also… kind but solitary somehow? theyre so perfect because nagisa lies and keeps retracting but yuuma resolutely chases after him every time .

tensei/makito;; where do i even begin with this… i love that makito said that tensei helped saved him because as much as people preach that you shouldnt make other people your salvation, its a lot easier to see urself in a better light when theres someone guiding u through the darkness. i also think its really great that makito decided to stay because as much as he loved modeling, its better to live a life where u know u r surrounded by people who love u and care for u openly as opposed to being in an environment where everyone’s proclamations of love for u are loud but are actually the farthest thing from being sincere. i also think it’s lovely how tensei once lied about their arrangement, insisting that he forced makito to be his model just so makito wouldnt feel the need to confess his feelings in case he still wasnt ready for it. they are just so taken wt each other that people take one look at them and just do no doubt that theyre a couple. this is just such a great story oh my goodness;; 1st reread

haruki/hikaru;; ok hear me out… wouldve liked haruki to continue his schemes because it was a bit too good but also really liked how they ended it so everythings still dandy

saki/yuto;; r u kidding me… it had the scene where the love interest looks at the sky and says its beautiful as the person agrees while looking at them . fuck !!!!!!!! also this was pretty great bc in the beginning ud think yuto is being led around but towards the end si saki nagkakandarapa para mahanap si yuto after he left the salon bc he was convinced that getting a haircut n looking the way he did when they first met would raise the chances of him being liked back by yuto like… that was peak self redemption it was kinda crazy . and also jeopardizing his application in a big company, and frankly telling the ceo—who happens to be yuto’s father—that he shouldnt be trivializing the way yuto grew up for self atonement? what more can u ask for honestly

kou/natsume;; i love tropes where the mc decides to do something and enlists the help of someone to accomplish their goal only to end up falling for said person… THIS WAS SO GREAT. kou was super gentle and also valued natsume’s limitations because he fully understood that while sex is super easy for other people, it’s entirely the opposite for natsume. i like that there’s no back and forth and misunderstandings; the moment they realized their feelings for each other, they began carving spaces for each other in their lives—kou stopped accepting clients and natsume shifted his goal. so, there’s really no way to doubt how they feel towards each other and I LOVE THAT A LOT . 1st reread

ryuji/leo;; THE GUY WITH THE MULLET HAIRCUT WILL SAVE YOU… i love how leo defended ryuji when they were teasing him about soccer. i love how, despite not knowing it, ryuji encouraged leo to continue painting. i love how ryuji was so certain about his feelings for leo that he communicated his intentions well and got leo to talk to him about why he was running away. i love how naturally they got closer. i love the scene where leo says he can his tears himself and ryuji says that he knows leo can but he’d like to do that from now on. i love that when ryuji talked about how the sky looked beautiful, he talked about the light it gives off and not the color because leo is colorblind. i love them !!!!!!!!!!

junil/nokyoung;; their fates r literally intertwined and they were meant to spend their lives together… i love how nokyoung remained resolute and pushed forward with his decisions even if it meant having nothing to back him up. i love how junil pushed nokyoung to be independent and how, initially, he was just there to provide his thoughts which were more than enough to let nokyoung know that he’s changing things for the better. i love how the narrative established that they’re (reluctant and verging on antagonistic) friends first before painting their interactions with a hue of romance though it pissed me off that after saving nokyoung from a rape attempt junil said that its his third time placing nokyoung on his bed without getting anything in return and the whole reason for the kidnapping was so facile and so out of character;; 1ST REREAD

abyss/prince;; TRULY MY FAVORITE EVER !!! abyss is my favorite ML in the whole wide world i am not exaggerating. i think i have reread the post-game events three times now but it's just SO GOOD. i'm in love with how prince did everything he could to protect abyss during the games but i love how the narrative continued to wow me even after the thrill of the games wore down. it's so fascinating how abyss was given the chance to show how much he changed in the eight years that he got separated from prince and how their time at the prison game changed the hue of their relationship. everything about this is so well thought of; makes me think that, much like prince, the creators really do love the characters they are writing about. also i really loved how it depicted prince's acceptance that abyss has changed and he's far from the cute little and maniacal baby who used to cling to him but it doesnt take away the fact that abyss would remain dear to him and abyss would always prioritize him over anything. AND ABYSS BEING PRINCE'S GUARDIAN ANGEL. I LOVE ABYSS' TRUE PERSONALITY HE IS MY FAVORITE MALE LEAD EVER !!! i love how he and prince both know that he's fucking cocky and domineering underneath it all but he'd still act like he's the old innocent abyss;; 2ND REREAD

hyeon/yiseon;; PERFECT !!! this is adapted from a novel so it makes sense that the plot is good and the story has great structure. the art is also so beautiful—the monsters and the entire concept of entering dungeons revolving around the seven wonders of the ancient world was given so much justice. i also really loved how it dealt with the progression of hyeon and yiseon's relationship and how it started due to something mutually "beneficial" and turned into something a little more than that. there are no out of place arguments, side characters, and plot points, too, which was super nice <3 i also really love how carefully and mindfully they portrayed PTSD here and how yiseon came to finally accept the idea of moving on and finding friendships. i love how the chord members—including yiseon, of course—valued and protected each other. i also really love how, towards the end, you can see the misery on hyeon's face upon realizing that he's powerless against yiseon's decision to kill himself. i love how he always seemed to be able to know how except for when yiseon's involved in the equation. i love how he pleaded and communicated his feelings to yiseon.
