Honestly, this Manga takes some deep "wtf" turns but once you get into it you see that there are some underlying things... Yuu, for example, is just a lonely kid who wants someone to be in control of him not being in control of everything since he himself doesn't feel like he got his shit together. I mean everyone keeps throwing stuff at him he is going to not know what to do. The Sensei idk he is like a latch pin... Tomo and Hoshi are facing a lot of difficulties after being forced apart and couldn't accept people's feelings as they try to escape the norm.....
