Such a disappointment all in all. It's honestly my fault for going into this with high hopes, I expected it to be a good read since the webtoon I read before this left me in a good mood. The plot is not interesting, the execution of it was even worse, the characters are honestly all annoying I swear they keep testing my patience. The MC is such a pain to see, read or watch. The way she is so fixated on revenge when it isn't that big of a deal what that shaman did to them (her & lil bro)..I think she cursed her with the inability to remove scripts and him having to be her shadow for half a day so they are inseparable basically. The MC neglects her duties as a guardian and leaves it all to baby bro, just going around here and there recklessly to search for the shaman. She is utterly weak and wears her expressions on her face and helpless, what makes it even worse is that she actually has power and she is maybe so self-assured in her power that she or the author presents her to be this chic and unfeeling type yet she just pisses me off. Her baby bro tried to commit suicide by swallowing pills, ya know those dangerous ones, anyway she catches him in the act. Another thing I hate about her is her attitude especially towards her bro, like he a guardian too why u dismissing him like that and not respecting his opinions? Her and the ML's dynamic I absolutely abhor..the ml is like those smiley dudes in manhwas that are actually dangerous and op, the way he easily deals with mc and pushes her buttons, the way she easily reacts to it is my problem ughhhh. Also I kinda expected his flashback to be sadder or more justificable to him being an annoying piece of shit but no...I mean his dad died and his mom a heartless bitch. So? His smile that just say smirk on the page to let us know that is 'dangerous' is so comical to me. The stillshots are so deplorable, I feel so pissed off just thinking about it now..like if the ml is looking at mc..he just look emotionless (not like that classic scene that makes us feel empty cuz the character is so beaten up emotionally that they don't know how to feel but it is just there for the sake of it) and no feelings are displayed. We can tell that the author or artist is totally a newbie and I say this in a bad way, like he/she is shit at it. I wish this didn't exist. The translation sucks too with half of what they are saying being senseless or maybe in the og language, it might be nonsense too. I hate this..:/

The ML is 36 years old and the MC seems to be 16 or 17 at best so.. Tbh considering the setting and the context, my thoughts on age gap varies. I think this is fine..

The title is essentially the plot. How expected of a Japanese shoujo manga to have an overbearing and borderline yandere ML and a pushover and gullible MC. Although I prepared myself going into it, it irked me so much how the ML just decides everything and expects the MC to follow his wishes/demands. The first time they meet (again?). He just straights up kisses her, strips her, fingers her and fondles her breasts. That's not the worst part, the MC just goes along with it. Another thing is when she refuses to have sex with him and he is denied, he walks out all sappy like and the MC feels guilty and tries to apologize to him. That hurts me as a woman. Them having sex for hours even when MC told him to stop and he straight up replies 'I don't care'. Him seeing her make contact with the knight and him subtly slut shaming her while touching her saying 'It's bad when I do it? But Ok for him?' Like Sir that's sexual assault. Also in the sixth chapter, the og fl has a group of guys drug MC with aphrodisiac and had them strip her naked. That guy tried to rape her, ofcourse the ML shows up in the nick of time BUT I hate this. I hate that this kind of woman exist in this world who would have someone rape a fellow woman cuz of jealousy and possessiveness. The hypnotism power that og fl seems to have by making people look into her eyes does not ~surprisingly~ work on him. I wonder whyyy..

Okayyyy.. there's a lot to unpack here. We have a woman in her late 20s (27) going on a club or a bar unlike her usual prim and proper self to get hooked up with a stranger to take her virginity after hearing her childhood friend brag about how good her boyfriend was in bed ( fyi, the boyfriend is also her childhood friend whom she had an unrequited love over). That one night stand led to her pregnancy, therefore the plot. The stranger who is to be the father is the ML who is in his early 30s (34), and also the chairman of a really big and prestigious company...as you know one tends to be. She saw two lines on her pregnancy test confirming her pregnancy and her friend catches her and offers to take her to the OBGY..but she tattles to her boyfriend who accompanies them. They meet the ML there with one of her students and she misunderstands..but it turns out, she (the student) will have a younger sibling from her step-mom who is only 8 years older than her. The ML connects the dots, meets with her...and proposes marriage. The MC refuses but after some talks later, they agreed to go on dates like 4 times a week or so..to make it work for the baby. They start falling for one another tho the ML liked her way earlier than that..maybe on the first day they met. But what pushed their marriage was when the MC's acquaintance way back in university who is way too eager to ruin her reputation learns of her pregnancy and spreads the info to everyone. This leads to many things...but the ML swoops in and saves the day..after being called over by his niece (she felt responsible for it as she inadvertedly was the reason for the rumour to spread in the first place). He says they are engaged and will get married in the next month..April. The funny thing was he already planned their wedding in advance for like a year but preponed it cuz of the circumstances. Oh..the ML has a stalker. That stalker causes some trouble..but he gave her a chance then another cuz her dad's his former highschool teacher. But he decides enough is enough when she attempted to murder the MC and her unborn child by car. They get married..they have two kids. The eldest is a girl, the younger a boy. The ML is essentially a perfect man and the MC is..alright. she has her faults..with her mommy issues. She cries a lot, sobs or bawls..whatever fits your taste. A distant mom and a dad who has too much love to share..that's her life. I don't like how impersonal her life seems..but it's nice to read once in a while. Also how they are still in their 'honeymoon phase' and still pining for one another. The niece has an oppa who is a neighbour. Yeah..he likes her. She likes him too but she takes time to figure it out cuz he was always there by her side annoying her and teasing her so she didn't realise her feelings. She tries to match him up with a girl..who later turns out to be their matchmaker..how the turn tables. They date..after 2 years, they grow distant. A girl is interested in him and they spend a lot of time together..she gets jealous, drinks a whole bunch..confesses how she feels to him. He says to talk tomorrow..they talk..then had sex~. Turns out he has been keeping a distance from her cuz he wants to take their relationship up a notch..we all know what that means. And he is keeping it in and keeping busy to match her pace. Also he worked like hell so he could get a matching ring for their 2nd year anniversary. He then turns back to normal..touching her, pecking her and being all lovey-dovey~

I like it. It shows potential being only five chapters in. There is grooming involved so if it's a sensitive subject, beware. The fl turns back 15 years in time to her dad's funeral, the same day the crown prince announced the breaking of their engagement. We find out later that it was the wish of her dad after being told to go to war on the prince's behalf after a ridiculous request made by his beloved (a hostage of a duchy). The prince was obsessed with her and agreed to her request to take salt only from their duchy and not from other imports, which to noone's surprise led to a rebellion. This pretty much sums up the current drama. Also, our male lead is significantly younger than MC who lived a life of abuse and torture to the point he thinks that the cuss word "Fuck" is his name. He says this upon meeting the fl, "you called for me" as she cusses after being almost raped by a mercenary hired by one of her maids to accompany her to the place of her exile, a barren and cold place (also her mom's place). The ml does not know how to speak, write and is not aware of social norms. He licks the fl's wounds as a form of first-aid. He reacts violently to seeing people, a village of them. He only accepts goodwill from the fl. Now, to get into the nitty-gritty of this. The fl is not of sane mind, she is incredibly selfish in her pursuit for revenge and has no qualms in using a child to accomplish it. It seems she convinces herself that it is okay considering how the ml ended up in the previous timeline 'the war hero' and 'the crown prince's dog'. She also reveals that she knows his actual name and that he is the illegitimate child of the Emperor born of a minor noble called 'Krono'. On finding this out, the Empress ordered an assassination on the Krono bloodline, children, pregnant women etc weren't spared. Well except the target of her anger was able to escape. I think the fl treats him even better after finding out about his identity and plans to use him, she even thinks that her father granted her this life and had given him to her as a gift to get revenge on the crown prince. I doubt the father is that kind of man, he seems to only want good things for her daughter. On the first page, we see him calling his daughter by a term of endearment and promising her the noblest title following suit her becoming the crown prince's fiancee. The dude's a war hero hailed warmly by the public who mourned his death, he was a Marquise btw. Now the grooming part, it is safe to say it is grooming. First, the age gap. Like Missy is a full adult, maybe a teenager in her current body but paired with her previous timeline, an adult. Secondly, the ml is a child who was abused. He thought his name was "Fuck", he puts his hands up to guard himself when he saw the fl lifting her hand tho her intent was to pat him on the head, he only accepts goodwill from the fl, she is the first one to show him goodwill, like it's a very imbalanced relationship to say the least. Thirdly, the fl although she intended to give him a warm home and teach him basic skills like writing or reading and speaking even, on finding out his identity, that line is blurred. Her selfish wish of revenge triumphs over her morality, and she fully intends on using him to exact her revenge. We can argue that because he is the bastard son of the Emperor, he was fated to live a bloodied life but even so..The fl can reverse the situation that will inevitably happen like in her previous life but does not do so. That does not cross her mind in the slightest, she plans on using him. A bit more merciful than the crown prince perhaps but it's a life of debauchery. Also their eventual relationship change as stated in the description. The ml ofcourse is in love with her tho it is up for debate, is it love it is it a result of many psychological factors playing into it? Uh..I just read a spoiler that said that the ml also regressed and that he planned everything and that he pretended to be child to gain the fl's trust, that he is a total obsessive yandere. Welp that changes everything. Tho I don't mind it, I think it is a bit cowardly of the author to add that in maybe for fear of being accused of promoting grooming? I don't know but it could have been an excellent commentary on grooming and male grooming in particular. People are blind to the latter and accepts it as it is.

Have read 10 chapters as of now and the chemistry between the leads are undeniable..we can feel that they want eo. The ML seems to be red flags all over but has a thing for the fl supposedly. He initiates contact with her and seems to know a lot about her too from the looks of it. The way he acts is hot tho. The fl is pissing me off, her title as the eldest daughter should be revoked. When she heard from his friend that ML might be involved with her Lil bro bullying (even tho that's not the case), she pays no heed to it. I thought she would get protective and lash out at him or something but reality is often disappointing. She still looks for him 10 years later. Ah..the best friend I adore, so I dropped it. There seems to be a plot twist tho..
