Even The Demon King, One Step At A Time
This is hype as fuck!! There were only 11 chapters on Webtoon so I came here to read more as I was intrigued.. Biggest surprise ever!! It had 128 chapters! Thank god for that one commenter that recommended this series while I was reading 'Ember knight'. Sometimes I get lost in the plot because it introduces various things one after the other so it's confusing and sometimes draining to read but it didn't lose that spark that made me interested. Yuria doesn't feel like the MC in a way, like I get that feeling more from Raglard and I love our gang btw. I feel like this series take inspiration from 'One Piece' and I'm not complaining cuz that's a fucking masterpiece. The guy with the hat gives me such an icky feeling but he's a fascinating character nonetheless. The 'warrior' selection was an interesting concept, I miss Wooth. The death scenes shocked me to the core! Like damn people be dying one after the other. I have the biggest girl crush on Ariah.. Like she is such a badass. She's so strong even without using her inhuman side? Like sign me up! My latest obsession, seriously. Her being the weaker twin I kind of predicted when we got her flashback (thanks to 'Rem and Ram'). Their dad actually loved them and was contemplating escaping to save both of them! You have no idea how that affects me. Him still hesitating on whether to kill Ariah made me clutch my chest and when I saw that scene with them looking at him while playing. This is not okay!!The dark Lord being a sickly looking man was not what I expected, him having a subordinate I did not foresee. Based on what was said, I thought he would be the loner brooding type but alas. What else? I love that the thing with Yuria's memory was explored and properly explained.. Two existence together forms the lovely MC we know. The gags were fun. I like that the Warriors tie in with Yuria cuz just by seeing the first appearance of Ragaella (?) I could tell it was an extension of Yuria but I couldn't understand what angle the author would take that could justify this. Consider me seated and satisfied. The translation made me iffy at first cuz it's not the best. Certainly not on par with the Webtoon's translation and the use of 'mate' irked me. However the use of old language fits in with the setting of this manhwa.. Especially with the inhumans whose life span has stretched for hundreds if not thousands of years.
I Don't Want to Work!
Eh it's so so, the conflicts are terribly minor and this is a poor execution of an OP protagonist. For someone who has lived for a thousand plus a hundred years, her demeanor doesn't reflect that. By that I don't mean she has to be stoic or a wise all looming figure, there should be glimpses or hints of it peeking through every now and then. But it comes across like she has this burst of knowledge or life experience only when the plot calls for it, like hey you knew that person, you lived through that era, you were a notable figure in this field etc etc. The deal with the gods being shady does intrigue me, I'm not gonna lie.. That trope always gets me going. Her disciple is also very typical of the master-disciple dynamic in this genre. My sister enjoys this and frankly I'm starting to question her taste in everything. Currently at Ch44

Oooh this is interesting. I like them! I actually like the characters! I mean sure the top is creepy and ominous and seems unstable but he's so interesting and I feel so emotionally connected to him already. I also like how cool the MC (Hoyoung) is, it's been a while since I read a chill MC. What more? Who are the other tops!? I have to know! Is it Kyungsoo? Who is it? That drummer guy also seems to like the MC too. Mmhhh this is interesting! How did the designer guy know MC? The MC also found him familiar so how does all these tie in?
A not so fairytale ||
There is only one chapter on this website but officially on Webtoon there are 41 chapters currently and I have read upto 40. My thoughts on it? Beautiful art style, interesting lore, unhinged characters etc.. I feel that some aspects that makes this story original are left underutilized and we keep going around in circles, leaving so many plot points behind in order to pursue what's popping at the moment. I was hooked from the first chapter feeling that I have found another treasure only to feel disappointment at how the author treats their work. Things didn't go the way I expected, the parts I found refreshing and intriguing were left to rot only to give importance to some mundane things. After the nine tailed fox was introduced, it split a lot of fans and before solidifying itself, so many of its audience left cause they felt disgusted or betrayed. Leaving the borderline incest stuff as it is, the story isn't progressing.. Right now forty chapters in I expected to get some answers but the story is halted for some beauty shots and some splash of comedy with a pinch of action scenes that are there just for the sake of it (or perhaps to showcase the cool side of the characters so that we could gush over the MC). The MC is complex, she is very unhinged, she doesn't have a moral compass and she is very vengeful holding a 1000 worth of grudge destroying herself over it. She isn't just a celestial mage, she is the one in charge of the birth, death and rebirth of the humans so without her the human realm is in jeopardy. Cool so there are stakes to this.. And? I feel like stuff are said but we don't see the effect of it, where are the consequences?! The fact that the ML isn't the Woodcutter is a nice misdirect, I'll give it that. I want to see the ML backstory.. We want to know more. It's fine and dandy that things aren't vomited out and we have to think for ourselves and come to our own conclusions but the author has been dangling this in front of us and forty chapters in? I'm not even interested anymore, it would be fine if the characters were engaging enough and the cast has more meat to them but it feels draining. I keep checking how many chapters there are left and although the art style is pretty, that's not enough.
Bitten By Moonlight
Cute. A short story. Reminds me of Cale and Choi Han from TCF, although Cale's personality is wayy different. Moreover I feel like Choi Han would be the top but Cale will most definitely be a power bottom. Back to this manhwa, I like their dynamic buff puppy uke × mischievous lean vampire seme. I like how the seme instantly likes the uke once he was no longer brainwashed and he saw his cutie patootie self. It was a nice read, puts you in a good mood and though the story isn't complete, it doesn't need more chapters. Like I'm satisfied with this, maybe that's why the author said she didn't have any more ideas for this so it ended like that.
Deadline Is Raining in the Status Window
It's so so. The translation is horrible. The characters are very one dimensional. The comedy isn't hitting at all. It's filled with stereotypes, it plays into that obviously but since the translation is so horrible, it just feels tiring to read.
Magic Academy’s Genius Blinker
This is actually super interesting. I couldn't get into it innitially but it just sucks u in. I like the MC a lot, I also like the og ML. Flame is a bit of a boring character but I do like the og FL. I like the villainess as well. I also like the professor. Although this concept is very common, it executes it perfectly. I like the examination, the way the classes are divided and the deal with the three questions. I despise MCs who try to take everything easy so it's nice to see an MC who is very passionate and mature. I like that he also doesn't have any biases. I look forward to the interactions between him and the main characters. Jeremy is the only one he hasn't interacted with yet, right?
The World’S Best Engineer
I like it. The pacing is quite fast and it feels like things are happening one after another way too quickly so there is no room to breathe. The MC although very interesting feels very like the typical MC shounen protagonist, he falls under that. So far I have finished fifty-six chapters so far and I like it atm. I wish we got more character moments, heartwarming moments, character interactions, tear jerking scenes, more backstory, etc but I get that this isn't that type of manhwa so I've made my peace with it. It's the type of manhwa that you can pick up anytime and start reading. It just feels redundant for me personally since it's the same format.. Problem arise-MC takes care of it/misunderstanding occurs-MC deals with it/villains arrive-MC knows about it n once again deals with it. I do like the pets he has though. Nothing feels natural or organic but whatever I guess. I like Javier too, he's a nice character. This feels very in the same vein as TCF but more surface level and much less character and plot focus. You just leave your brain behind and just read without thinking about anything. The Queen... She's alright.
Turning a Crazy Dog Into a Young Master
I like it. I like the subject it deals with. PTSD from war. I like the MC, she is akin to a pacifier and she seems to have a good head on her shoulder though she can be dense. She knows something is amiss but chooses to ignore it since she can't do anything about it. The deal with Halt, the Emperor's lover having a strong divine power, the deal with the eighth batallion and the spells used for their 'training' etc. I like that the ML hasn't completely lost it. I feel like we can delve into the whole PTSD thing a lot deeper but I digress. I just knew there was something fishy about that man and viola there he is with that second prince talking about some sketchy thing. I hope we can get to the bottom of this as soon as possible. Also CH 26&27 are the same.. Please fix it.
