I Became the Younger Sister of a Regretful Obsessive Male Lead

Ongoing | Purple Lemon,Debin | 2000 released

It was originally a bl but now is a heterosexual manhwa..I don't know how to feel about this cuz it just seem a bit insensitive to me honestly, I guess there is a bit of logic sprinkled in the fact that the og novel revolves around the fact that the uke was the only person to show the seme affection of some sorts so he grew attached to him regardless of the gender or sexuality, I kinda like that cuz I am of the belief that everyone is fluid in their feelings, they are just constrained by norms of the society. How I feel about this manhwa? It has a nice and easygoing feel to it. It obviously tackles child abuse and homosexuality as well as animal abuse to some extent? But overall it doesn't feel serious. It doesn't try to delve deeper into the problems that it has, rather it states it as if it's a piece of information to the reader i.e us. The fact that the ml's dad was in a relationship with fl's father yet was forced to be apart due to the previous duke i.e the ml's grandpa, adding to it the fact that ml resembles the father of the duke (currently) who abused him for loving a man and split them up, is a reason for the ml's abuse. And the og Rachel who grew up pampered by the same duke who abused the ml cuz she resembles Liam (his lover) all the way from her green hair and bright personality, is a reasonable reason to why she partook in the abuse of ml and she was the first one of the side characters to die by ml's hands. Another problem is the MC's overall atitude, someone once said that the overall tone of the story depends on the MC and their personality and outlook on life. This is an interesting case that supports that claim cuz MC is fully aware of the circumstance that ml is in cuz she read it and he is apparently her bias but she fails to notice his state of mind and has a hopelessly positive and simple mindset on how to solve the problems faced by the ml. She is akin to a privileged nepotism child who says she only got the position she is in cuz of their hard work alone and not cuz of their parents position or connection, it seems as flimsy as that. The plot is stupid all in all. No logic just some cliches in romance and isekai plot meshed together that doesn't flow well at all. The author is either a novice or someone trying to take advantage of the current trend of the over saturated genre of isekai.

Dragon Raising Manual

Ongoing | Pimo | 2019 released

Hmm..it's quite mild I feel, it doesn't pop off and catch your attention. It just is. The thing I can't quite grasp is why she decided to just skip the background info and seemingly forgot all about it, is it just for plot convenience? It probably is, isn't it? The ml is a tan hottie..I gave it a chance cuz of him, so how is he a dragon? He has pointy ears which makes me think he is well...an elf but a dragon? Is he a half-breed or is it a disguise? I also have an inkling that his sister is not blind. The MC overall tho I have only read upto ch5 has been nothing but a disappointment. Seriously the art doesn't make it any better, it looks like she has a lazy eye. The incest part is pretty realistic and I like it when historical stories of any kind implement that cuz it's a fact. Also it's a guilty tag of mine tho I don't have that type of attachment with my own siblings. I love seeing it in stories. It is scandalous and I love every moment of it.. if they are pretty

I'll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History ― The More of a Villainess I Become, the More the Prince will Dote on Me

Ongoing | Okido Izumi,Hoshi Akari, Hayase Jyun | 2000 released

I liked it when I read it. I remember being satisfied by the simple plot. The MC is very cute. It's very shoujo, the rules that this world is bound by is also very shoujo-esque. Her logic is so childlike but I don't hate it. Maybe it's cuz of the way the world is set up, usually I hate MCs who are blindly optimistic and simple-minded but that's cuz the world they are in are much more grim and other characters are facing the consequences for their stupid decisions.

So wholesome..:)

The Kids Have Changed

Ongoing | Rina,Domac | 2019 released

Man I wanna read this so badly..like the premise is so interesting but I fear that if it gets serialised, the quality might get ruined or the story develops and progress in a generic way, rn the potential this holds in my mind is like endless. I can think of countless scenarios and all, it's a paradox..I want to read it but I'm afraid as well.

I Failed to Divorce My Husband

Ongoing | 럭키고릴라,Haloje | 2019 released

It's relatively simple and nothing to write home about. The fact that she is a full grown adult I think is just done so that it can fit in the isekai trope and not add to the plot as a whole. Her actions are a bit too immature and the solution she cooks up for the trauma the ml is facing seems to be surface level. It just doesn't feel like an adult woman. She blushes when she sees him, that puts me off a little bit cuz you supposed to be an adult. Why are u pining for a 12 year old? Also does she not have any dating experience of any sorts, why is she so affected by him?

Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku

Ongoing | Shiki,Hasumi Natsume | 2000 released

An otome game that's hardly any different from the rest..yet so different. Maybe that has to do with the fact that the story is told from the genius ML's POV so the tone is pretty much cut throat and refreshing. It takes away some elements that honestly tires me out like the banter among noble ladies, petty schemes and boy drama. There are hints of it but we are following the narration of the ML so it is rare. How he dissects things and the counter measures he comes up with are fun to read almost as if it's common sense. His love for MC was more tame than I thought but I like it. The last chapters with their two children (a boy & a girl) one a siscon who is similar to his dad in demeanor and the girl a carbon copy of her mother except she has heterochromia. The little bro of fl was cute.

The Princess's Double Life

Ongoing | 고은채,쌍필 | 2019 released

Love me some double life It wasn't as cliche as I expected it to be..it knocked my expectations out of the park. Love a simple-minded ml from time to time..what with all the cunning and possessive ml's everywhere who always seem to be one step ahead of the MC. It isn't a surprise that the ML fell for her quickly with his simple and brash way of thinking but our MC has caught feelings too~ That's honestly fine..we can expect a healthy dynamic atleast. The art is so pretty..a bit sparkly but not too overt. I was wondering why the cover has the MC with pink hair but the blonde hair was a disguise, huh? She said that she hadn't shown her real face since she was six, so dedication right there..*claps*
