Return of the Frozen Player
I like this. If I could give it a 4.5, I would. I like Junho and his sense of justice. Whenever I hear the word justice, Ii immediately get a bad feeling since I'm a One Piece fan. I love love loove the Frost Queen, she's such a mood. I love her dynamic with Specter as well, her being a director and editor was chef's kiss. I was worried that the archmage was gonna be a love interest ngl but I'm glad it didn't go in that direction. I like that the five heroes are revered but that they are also falling behind since they were stuck for 25 years. I don't know about the other two, but the girl seems to have one shady family. I like that the Dokkaebi Guildmaster holds the MC in such high regards but ultimately he got fooled by the MC. I like the Sword Saint, he's a kind person. What else? I like the Dokkaebi princess, she's cute. She's such a huge fan of Specter as well. The fiends are nasty, but I don't find them intimidating.. I'm just reading this for the characters at this point. Currently at Ch140. The sharp shooter Gilbert and his son was also very touching. I love how much Arthur admires and looks upto Specter as well. Side tangent- I love how Specter sneaks in the ice rocks in the snacks he gives the frost queen. I love their bond. When he spoke up for her when Gilberto was giving her mad heat (rightfully so tbh).. My heart swelled.
Reaper of the Drifting Moon
I don't like it as much as I thought I would. The story got stale after a while, with stronger enemies he must vanquish. Not to mention the people that got caught in the crossfire. I'm not the biggest fan of this so I'll most likely not continue this, the only reason I got this far was through sheer willpower. I wonder if we'll get to see his friends from his time training as assassins. The white haired girl dying was a shame but I'm glad the MC remembers her, and that it was her wish he fulfilled. Him sleeping around gave me the ick honestly but what can I expect from a Murim manhwa.. I was deluding myself. I hate how people keep on underestimating the MC and trouble keeps on brewing.. Just leave it be. I hate when there is no end goal and we just keep on going and going and going.
Murim Login
I really like this. I like the MC and his two brothers. The second not so much but I digress. I never knew I would see a doting father like big brother.... Love to see it. Also I was worried for a second that it might turn into a harem of some sort but thankfully we didn't take that route. The girls are barely there in the story but better that than an annoying fl who is a liability to the main cast since that's the only trop shounen action mangakas can write. I like the MC's dynamic with I forgot his name... Sword Saint Disciple. He's so pure and sweet, it's a shame that it seems he will be in the background going forward since it's obvious that he's falling behind The second brother being a simp I did not foresee at all. Also the minor 17 year old proposing marriage scared me but the MC considers her a minor younger than his sister. But I hate that he blushes and seems to ve somewhat hesitating. I love the dynamic between his Master and him... They are so alike it's crazy... They shout and aren't honest with their feelings, brash etc etc. I like how he's so attentive and so braggy about his disciple's accomplishments. Also I fell for the misdirect regarding the Sword Saint tho I felt that it was a bit much when he told his disciple that he wasn't his friend.
Path of the Shaman
So far it's okay. It doesn't reel me in and make me glued to the screen. Nothing major. The MC isn't unlikable but he isn't the most enjoyable either. He's stubborn, bull headed and doesn't think things through. It's like looking at a third rate villain. The thing is he is perceived as being smart because the other characters are so damn stoopid that it's verging on the realm of absurdity. Forget the misunderstood trope, I actually like that, this is just plain creativity on their parts. I don't get this. About his third concubine, I hope we don't meet her.. So far we haven't met female characters except for the one shot assassins and prostitutes. And I would like to keep it that way please. The other first disciple... Man he's so fineeeee. Like what? That slutty hairstyle with that strand and his beauty mark.. The earrings, the attire... Him.. Ugh he's phenomenal. What a waste of character design. Pretty privilege is so real.. He's so stupid and sooo goddamn slow but he's so pretttyyyy
Return of the Flowery Mountain Sect
This is such a pleasant read. I like the bond between the MC and Tang Bo. I did not expect him to have a friend but I like that he is looking after his friend's descendents. The plum blossom flowers are as pretty as ever. The 2nd disciple brother character's development is one for the books. The senior brothers are also a hoot... I'm not so sure of the girl tho. She is very much in the background now, I thought she would play a more important role. The elders of the sect aren't as insightful as I would like them to be, when they kept talking about punishments I almost lost it. The account guy is fun tho. The Emei merchant sect is the sugar daddy of my dreams.. I want them! The beggars are as nasty as ever.. The armpits, the crotch, like ewww why would u offer your hands to shake right after you rub your armpit or put things in your crotch. And it's not like they don't have the money for it. The MC's personality is a pet peeve of mine but I can put that aside for the plot and his ambition. I hope we get more flashbacks, I really like this arc.
The Dark Magician Transmigrates After 66666 Years
I quite like this. It's not groundbreaking but it has everything to hook you in. I like Jamie, he fits my expections for an MC. I like that he sees his love's reincarnation as just a reincarnation. I like that perspective. "She is a kid", he says... I like his wholesome and affectionate family. I wonder how his lil sis will grow up. To be honest... The earlier chapters were better... I feel like it lost steam around the 100 chapter mark. The 12 gods are despicable for sure but it went in the direction I was least expecting. I was thinking they'd be more subtle but they are downright committing massacre left and right. I am most curious about 'Ra'... He seems very mysterious. Also the bit about Jamie, that he might not be complete since his og body is still in that darkness thing. The Lan thing intrigued me at first sight but it didn't manage to keep my interest. People taking the DNa from the queen and blossoming into a flower from a seed was interesting... I forgot the name of that race though. Though I do like Jamie's dad, the way Sears immediately cut ties with the childhood friend lacked emotional depth I feel, there was no conflict. It was a waste honestly. Ch145.
