A Stepmother's Märchen
Love it so much..seems like Nora is the ml..the prince is sus..love her children..love Shuri so much..all in all a good read Update on my thoughts : If I am being picky, and this is totally subjective btw..I don't want there to be any male lead..I know in ch90..we can see a glimpse or hope that Shuri likes Nora based on her reaction to a lady giving Nora her handkerchief and her giving it to him later which he readily accepts. The main plotline of this manhwa which I absolutely adore is the family dynamic, I see Nora as a child. Tho Shuri physical body is nineteen years old, her mental and emotional age is another topic all together so this development I don't necessarily welcome it. I mean seeing old Nora's flashback about his love and devotion to the dead Shuri is cool and all but I wish it would remain that..an unrequited love. It is much more memorable and gives more impact to the story that way. Him calling Shuri "Noona" is super cute tho. Him and Jeremy dynamic is so much like Zoro and Sanji, I live for it. The thing about Elias, I hate how Shuri and the rest of the characters approach the issue. He has an inferiority complex to his bro Jeremy and thinks himself less. With the twins connection and Jeremy and Shuri spending so much time together, ofcourse he is feeling left out. Like the way Shuri unintentionally leaves him out as well as Jeremy's attitude towards him as an older bro not understanding his feelings in the slightest made me feel a bit bitter. Like him and his gambling issue, the way Shuri like yanks him out of his bed with her preconceived ideas questioning him about the prince when he just wanted to find the place where he belonged and he was welcomed there..in the casino. His sister and little bro tattling on him to Shuri and Jeremy respectively although in the long run is good but in the present, is very bad. He must already feel alone and isolated. And the fact that his younger siblings trust a girl who is only 19 years old (as far as they are aware) sets a bad precedence..the way Jeremy was like "I'mma beat some sense into him" when Nora told him about it. Nora's involvement also makes me feel a bit icky too not gonna lie. Shuri sleepwalking problems. Gosh I can't say I hate any characters but even if I hate the characters like the Cardinal, crown prince and the guy who serves the Cardinal with no eyebrows and large eyes that never seems to blink..they are still great characters nonetheless. Shuri although she is trying her best is lacking in so many ways, being blind to Elias' plight, the whole crown prince situation and the mystery surrounding Jeremy's dad..she is not trying to face it head on. Like she just dawdling here and there and she is so fearful and shows too much emotions and is easy to read..Jeremy although being my fav sibling is still so naive and lacks communication with Elias. And Elias, whom I have the biggest soft spot for, not reaching out to his family cuz of his own insecurities and that dream or is it reality where he looked at a portrait of their whole family but...he was not in it...ouch..The twins selling their bro out and tattling although I get it they are young and they think that it is the best thing to do in that situation. Nora is a decent and overall an all rounder I guess..his family treatment of him is deplorable and when he tried to reach out, his dad admonished him and his mom was spineless and he fell in love with Shuri who reached out to him. The crown prince with all the mommy issues in the world..the fact that his late mom whom he has never seen except in portraits looks identical to Shuri..like I get it psychologically but the way he goes about it is so wrong but he is so interesting!! The priest backstory was also so interesting and provided a bit of an insight into who he is and how he functions. The late empress looking like Shuri. I have my eye on that and the way the Emperor looks at her too..hmm..the current Empress is a girlboss..Who did I miss? Oh the Duke(?)..he is so full of mysteries tho I am 93 chapters in..the reason why he chose Shuri and taught her and the way people admired him..I wanna know everything about him..
Please Give Me the Pacifier
Love the mc..powerful being returning to a child or reincarnated as a child from enemies side is common.. already seen yet it was such an enjoyable read and the mc is so lovely and cute..I don't often find characters cute even if they are a baby cuz it seems forced by the writer..but so fun to read..no complicated plot line or out the gate concept but it knows what it is and does the job splendidly
The Precious Sister of The Villainous Grand Duke
Nice read not the best...a bit repetitive..but okay. Maybe this deserve more description. Okayyy... here goes. The MC is isekai'd as per usual as the adopted daughter of the Lagrange, the villains of the novel which she is reincarnated onto. This is a secret but the fact that she does not have the shadow ability that is the identity of the Lagrange can be questioned. The ML is her elder brother, not the real bio one that is the ML of the novel but the villain of the story who is also whipped for the female lead. Awfully convenient.. ain't it? It is common for siblings to kill eachother for the heir position so the MC was unsafe even as a baby from the get go. But the villain saved her..although not for some grand reason like the kindness of his heart. It was imperative for the selection of the heir for the final stage to kill the one they treasure the most. So he planned on killing her when that day comes. Ofcourse that didn't happen. If it did..what a plot twist it would be. The villain grew attached to her and she to him. Also Anissa's bio family is trash except for her big bro who cares for her somewhat. What else? Oh! The og fl is one deranged bitch, a delulu I tell you...she considers herself to be the main character, the saviour if you will (although it is correct initially). She acts very self-righteous and says that Dietrich and her are destined but when push comes to shove, she considers him to be dirty and refused to help when Anissa asked for her help. Also the demon that Dietrich is bonded with...a grower for me. He cares for him. But the demon that made the curse on Dietrich obsolete was the demon that fell for og fl's mother and inturn was cursed so he bitter as hell now. He made it so that Dietrich would not die an early death in exchange for Anissa offering everything she had to make to ensure that he was alive. But he made it so that everyone forgot about Anissa and that she ever existed except for Dietrich. So Dietrich inturn offers him his soul but he responds with 'Do you think that's enough?' so...Oh Anissa forgot everything as well, she thinks she is reincarnated in the novel (which she is) but no recollection of her time as Anissa. She is now a maid with the same description as Anissa except for her blue eyes. Also that lecherous noble is not it. What more? Oh the Lagrange are a respected family now and the Shadows are no more..which the MC is confused about since it was originally a war story and she found it strange that Anissa did not exist. In the last chapter that I read, Ch94 she met with Dietrich in a field of garden and she tripped (are we surprised?) so he helps her. She first mistook him for a kidnapper since her fellow maid warned her of it so as she tried to run suddenly she tripped. Dietrich helps her, and she asks why he is here not knowing his identity..gurlll and he says that he is looking for his lover.
An Unseemly Lady
Tell me why a 20 year old is this childish and lack so much common sense? I'll wait...someone EXPLAIN please!! I feel so much annoyance for the mc and most of the side characters...the mc pouts all the time, LOVES desserts, decides upon herself who her sister should have as a lover, acts like a child, gets sulky?? Have temper tantrums here and there and when I hope she will get some character development she goes back to her old self..she thinks to herself 'I should not decide who my sis should date or marry, I should respect her wishes' etc yet when her sis tells her she doesn't mind...she just forgets about it..no emotional depth...such selfishness and no self awareness or maybe there is some but does not do anything so that's worse...I hate this trope so much...I'll say this just once...It doesn't matter if you are a child now you have memories of your past life, you are an adult, even if people treat you like a child..you are not one!! I have the same problem with 'Who made me a princess?' Athanasia convinces herself she is a child cuz she is being pampered and when Lucas tells her to act like her age..she legit says "I'm a child" without blinking...no miss you are an adult ..stop relying on your dad and Lucas and blaming others...sorry for this rant but I disdain this trope to my very existence
The Hidden Saintess
Love the plot for including gods and a bit of mythology..it is not my kind of read tho...while I read this I kept looking at the chapters I still had left so it isn't compelling at all..the idea is nice tho...overall an okay story
The beginning after the end
Had so much potential and build up..but as soon as romance is introduced the story lost focus...tried reading the novel but ended up being disappointed..why is that elf girl so annoying
The Lady I Served Became a Young Master
A bit repetitive..boring at times... translation sucks...
The Viridescent Crown
Hmm..This story is very confusing to me...I get what they are trying to do..I wish mc would be more careful around ml..she knows ml to some extent...ml spies on her yet mc thinks what she does is secret..she is smart when the plot needs her to be...other times she just exists. Ch113.
Even Though I’m the Villainess, I’ll Become the Heroine!
I know I've read it already yet I fail in remembering anything..that tells me everything..I have a pretty decent memory so it proves it did not stand out..so only one star seems plausible
