Living as the Tyrant's Older Sister

Ongoing | Aperta,Chyobab | 2019 released

Mc is such a girl crush...her bratty brother and her relationship is so wholesome...his reaction to her dating his idol was so wholesome and realistic (?) Anyway I read this a while back yet the scenes are so vivid in my mind..she is a blacksmith who used to be a kind of business woman in her past life who is now in a book her younger sister wrote inside a character she is based on....the og story was that ml and fl got together while her little bro was a villain who was mean to his sister...and of course that have changed...one night stand is not that big of a deal to mc but apparently not for ml..that legendary KABE DON text on one of the scenes cracked me up...ml has some trauma relating to his sword??Again not sure...when I saw the scene of mc and og fl trash talk eo I had a bit of a questionable look on my face cuz I didn't want this story to go down this path...love rivals are a no no in my book...and ml should take care of other characters that are interested in him in my humble opinion but okayyyy...might continue again...

Priscilla's Marriage Request

I dropped this after reading the first few chapters..the art wasn't to my liking..the plot feels dumb..character motivations are stupid. MC is stupid.. everything is stupid

Cheerful Countess Sisters

Ongoing | 랍스타,자미신 | 2000 released

Love the sister duo..they are strong in totally different ways..love the variety in their physical appearance..I mean they are half-sisters but I love that the other is the traditional European beauty with pale skin, blonde hair and demure face while the other is more modern with tan skin, nice body, and strong features. A good read..so wholesome;)

Redemption of the Blue Rose Princess

It seems like a mood

The Villainess

Ongoing | | 2000 released

Okay..why did noone tell me that reverse isekai could be so much fun!!?? I was laughing the whole way through..the comedy is superb..top tier. The mood is so contagious and made me, the reader, feel good. A love triangle that is executed comically and not make things so serious..that's my jam. One of my pet peeves in any genre and especially romance is love triangle..like there is no need for it? Ofcourse it could become more serious as it goes on but rn this is my exception to that pet peeve of mine. Also the fact that the younger guy is genuinely interested in Liza and it seems Ian has had feelings for the author makes it all the more engaging. Also love that Liza is realising her feelings for the og ml (I guess?) was not love but something else. With her only having him in her life..no other friends, companions, lovers etc. He also felt burdened by it I feel and finally cracked under so much pressure. Her becoming a villainess was a bit rushed by the author I feel ( I mean the story's author; not the real author). Also love how Liza sees her modern friends as kids and refer to them as such. Her being an adult must make all their problems seem so minor since they are only high school kids afterall. The comedy is top-notch. The MC being a master of disguise and with her record of blending and assimilating into her surroundings now struggling in a modern school setting is funny. Her declaring a strike against going to school because she thought that the author abandoned her then being slapped senseless by her mom..relatable. I wish she would realise how her "mom" is struggling to meet day's end and take things seriously

The Emperor's Companion

Complete | Lee surim,Assam,Night manju | 2019 released

I remember reading this a long time back..My sister and I were just starting to discover this medium and this was one of my first manhwas I read..I remember being so intrigued by the plot and recommended it to my sis and she found it to be annoying. However, I continued reading it but stopped at one point cuz I felt like it wasn't going anywhere..the plot just stayed at one place. The characters are so confusing..for an MC who is such a sis-con and decided to devote her life for her sister whom she wronged in her past life..she sure is taking it easy and dismissing her sister's wishes for the Emperor (male lead). I don't know why the ML acts the way he does but I don't want to find out either. His behaviour is so strange, surely there must be something to it since the God acted kinda strange while talking to MC

Baby Tyrant

Ongoing | Lee Huin,Awon | 2023 released

This is so cliche. It's the typical chosen one with a very loving and protective family type of isekai. The translation ruins the experience for me, and the story isn't even that good to boot. I wish it has a bit more, it's so tropey and in the same vein with every other manhwa. I suspect that 'Who made me a Princess?' started this craze because of its immense popularity. I need to start some other series so I can't waste my time on this. I have finished like 11 chapters so far but I didn't finish the 11th chapter cuz my Wi-Fi didn't support it. I wish the MC would give it a try. I know we got exposition on why she is skeptical about this whole thing but it feels very inorganic in a way. 'The Ordinary Lady' I think..? did a much better job at that. Also we all know who the ML will be, it's that black haired demon child right? I like Oscar.. He's so adorable. I was surprised that they were half-siblings since that wasn't very common. And also the Emperor got remarried so the MC's mom is the one whom he truly loves and the Duchess is one whom he married out of necessity and the mom of Oscar. The Duchess is very strict and orders her bro to be stricter with Oscar as well, he followed what he said. Speaking of that.. I was surprised by the switch up on how he treated the princess and his nephew. I like how protective Mabel got over her big bro, maybe she sees him as a child so that's why. Also another gripe I have with this manhwa is that I can't take it seriously.. It just be saying stuff and there doesn't seem to be any real consequences like I get the whole priest thing cuz of the you know.. Problems it would cause to be at odds with the Holy Land but it just makes the Emperor look like a fraud. Also the priests being corrupt and actually being the 'villain' per se is so tired. Just quit it if you can't commit to it. 'The stepmother's marchen' and 'How to get my husband on my side' does a phenomenal job at this if you wanna see a good execution of that sub-plot. 'Saving my Sweetheart' is also worth a mention.
