The Tyrant Wants To Live Honestly

Ongoing | Ramgle,Kakon | 2019 released

I guess she is starting to appreciate Ethan a bit more. The Emperor is just a douchebag, talking about honour and what not. What did the Queen see in him? You know what.. I hate her as well. Blaming a child for something that they cannot control, many people die in childbirth especially considering the times they live in so what's the deal? The art style is a bit too childish for my taste but I like it nevertheless. I like that the princess is slowly coming to terms that she is not the worst person like she seems to think she is and is embracing her new life. I wished she didn't quit her swordsmanship training tho. Also the crown prince is so dumb.. I don't hate him but u can only be so dumb that you don't understand why your sister wouldn't want to meet that son of a bitch Emperor. Theo is fine.. I guess. I like that the story didn't revolve too much around Theo and Dorothea too much. The maid and the knight make a cute couple.

I actually really like this. This was unexpected. This reminds me of 'A way to protect the loveable you', such an awesome manhwa btw. I love how her family is so caring towards her, the Dad is such a wonderful father not only to her but to the twin boys as well. The dynamic between Esther and the twins are different but so right. Like the elder one is more serious so he found it harder to accept her and needed to test her but he wasn't being an ass about it. The other twin is more sociable so they got close pretty soon and it's cuz of him that she got adopted so hurray!! I love that he gave her a piggyback ride and he was the first person that she opened up to. That is so special and I like that the other twin found out about the fact that Esther is the saintess based on the signs and how that ties back to how he mentioned that he wanted that very book that contained that info to his dad. This is a very well-written book. Also it's blatantly obvious that she is their sister, no doubt about it. She also got the name she was supposed to receive from her mother in this life. I like that she got this life by her own effort and not some cliche shit. The male lead is very witty for sure. I don't mind his personality unlike some comments tho I do get where they are coming from since she is still healing and all. And the way he asked her to stay by her side didn't come from a bad place but it wasn't necessarily out of the goodness of his heart either. But I prefer that over him being whipped for her out the gate. I love how he dismisses Ravien as well.

This man has been everywhere in my feed...a yandere that is a fool for his girl, acts like a puppy around her yet is a snake around others. Sign me up!! Update(2/9/23) : The art style is so weird, it feels like all the characters have eyebags and are insomniac. The premise is around lucid dreaming, when I come across that word all I can think about is ~I have this lucid dreams where I can't feel a thing~ by Juice World RIP. Anyway, the ml is batshit insane and he seems to have some history with the female lead. He's always in a hospital gown so go figure. The MC and the villain of this story go way back in elementary school where the villain was always alone and people talked behind her back about how she's so clingy and tries to control her friends yada yada yada. The MC takes the initiative to befriend her despite this but viola the rumours were right. She didn't allow her to hang out with her other friends and was very controlling towards her. The MC's snapping point was when she applied this makeup all over her then she cried and told her friends all about it. They then confronted her and told her to stay away from MC, the look on the villain's face was etched onto the MC's mind. I don't blame her, that is one ugly ass expression tbh. Anyway, she went through middle school relatively easily but the problem started on her first day of high school where *drum rolls* the villain is the Queen Bee. She gets bullied left and right so she starts writing about her experience online where she was given useless advice. One of which was to confide to an adult or call some childcare service. Her mom is like the mom from 'The Glory', that pretty much sums it up. She then sees things about lucid dreaming then is able to apply it right away. At first, she just spoke about all the feelings she had been bottling up then she starts getting physical with her then finally stabbing her. The very next day in school the villain was absent cuz she bled in her sleep. Though that didn't last long she recovered straight away. When asked about it, she said a white haired man attacked her with a knife in her sleep. That white haired man is the ml.. Wow!! I don't like any of the characters. They are kids so whatever. I skipped some chapters here and there but overall it's decent. I don't get how the villain is able to control the whole classroom, she isn't the brightest tool so no idea. All the characters are trash so I'm not rooting for anyone in particular. I'm not so sure about that dude who is an otaku, is he as nice as he seems? Currently on Ch20.

Recently I have been into guys with glasses. They're hot. Typical manga behaviour.. So fast paced and cliche. The bottom is as pretty as a female so he's constantly being cornered/not taken seriously plus imo he's a sissy. The ml saves him and offers him a job after he quit since his boss put forward some unreasonable conditions. Now he works in a nightclub, is hit on by an old dude and the glasses dude comes to the rescue. Turns out he's part of the yakuza hence the title. They have a party, the top is a light weight so he gets drunk, bottom offers to carry him home and they get into some action, no sex though that only happened in the last chapter. Morning arrives and the top apologizes then the bottom admits it's his fault since he was the sober one. The top finds him cute yada yada yada then some conflict happens in the form of a stalker then the top saves him yet again... I'm starting to see a pattern here guys. Before that, he gifted him a earring which he didn't put on since he saw him together with a girl and misunderstands. Now in a car, he just blurts out he likes him for a reason I forget then the top says he likes him too and has been waiting for him to admit his feelings. They make love and the end.

Lord Baby Runs A Romance Fantasy With Cash

Ongoing | Ju hyeon,Moran , 모란 | 2019 released

Cute cover page Update (4/9/23) : This was very very sweet. Maybe a bit too sweet? Whatever the case is, I like it. The father is very very doting and her brothers are very cute. The second likes her from the get go while the third can't accept her easily because she doesn't have magic energy. He likes her as well and seems touched by her persistence to get closer to him, add the fact that she didn't tattle to their father about him threatening her and also her description of magic energy as something cozy resembling the night. The eldest son is yet to be seen. I wonder how her mother died, so she didn't die giving birth to her? That's new. Also the God(?) who gave her a chance to reincarnate seems to know her. Is she someone special? I do think her cousin being so young shouldn't be that despicable but whatever.

A selfish and borderline-yandere seme? With a truly good MC? Yuh, that shit tasty. Atleast there is plot to support this already red flag dynamic so we won't be too sick with all the dust from the toxicity of the eventual couple. I won't lie, sometimes I dig this type of couple but other times I get very bitter and feel personally hurt from the level of power the seme holds over the uke or maybe in this case impose on the uke. It might turn out to be the former but my gut is telling me that it is the latter so I'mm sit this one out for now and look through some other manhwas. Update (11/9/23) : Finally I gave it a try and I loved every moment of it. Even in the most recent chapter (72) the MC's trauma is still ongoing. I do love consistency and it depicts reality as well. I like the team members, especially Joohyeok and the girl (I hate that I can't remember her name cuz I loove her). I was surprised with how casual she is with the ML since I was under the impression that he would be more cordial with everyone except the MC. Also might have to do with the fact that she is two years older than him and her personality type. Jian(the secretary girl) is always by the ML's side, she seems more like a lackey of ML than a colleague. I like the healer as well, he is so considerate and caring towards MC. I do like that the manhwa continuously reminds us throughout the series that the ML is a manipulative bitch (with his eyes, him being shrouded in darkness, how he reacts to the MC etc). We see things from the ML's POV as well but maybe it isn't as flimsy as he thinks it is. I wouldn't go as far as to say that he likes him, he would kill him in a heartbeat if it benefits him and he is constantly making sure that the MC is still within his control. I don't know what his next plan is but he isn't the type to give up so we'll see. Also side tangent- why are the villains so dumb? The Vice President (now President) was dumb as fuck, how did he get this far? I mean his mom's side of the family helped obviously but huh? And the Paradise next to be guild leader was also trash, he was such a small fry and doesn't seem to have a plan for anything honestly. Like what is this level of antagonist... I mean if this is intentional and is done to highlight that the real villain is the ML and the ways that the MC will come to his senses after he gets out of this funk and learn to get away from the ML, that would be a fun twist.

The Time When We Were Young

Ongoing | Yoon | 2019 released

I like that the MC is level headed and fairly reasonable, I hope that will continue throughout the manhwa and that trait of her won't change. Her real life problems are much more severe than the novel she is in so I understand where she is coming from. However her lack of tact made it almost unbearable for me to continue this manhwa even though I personally don't blame her. The four heavenly kings are based on 'Boys over Flowers' for sure, even Hwiyoung's face and personality screams Junpyo. Her knowing the tropes and cliches inside out was very hilarious and her being dumbfounded left and right by the impossibility of everything in the novel was refreshing. Some of which I won't question but because she is a renowned author and even received an award for literature, she is able to see the plotholes that I can't see. Her little brother is such a simp and the resemblance to her deceased lil bro is uncanny. What else? Her best friend is a bit much, I get where she's coming from but the ml is just your boyfriend's friend so why be angry at your bestie for it? All in all, I enjoyed it. Her best friend irl sucks, of course she would think it's her since she was the only one she told but she suffered all that bullying because she defended you and stood up for you, you bitch. She ended up miserable while the Ah-han is successful in life so whatever. I think I know who the ml irl will be, the man that saw her crying has to be it. I think he is also the person that bully liked in middle school.

Dead man Switch

Ongoing | Coinmint , Eise | 2019 released

I weirdly like this. I like how quickly the MC learns to appease the ML, tho that's his personality in a nutshell. He is not spineless, and communicates properly, very patient with the psychopathic yandere ML. He stood up for him when those people took advantage of them both and shut the ML out the door even though he was the one who brought the food for them. That bitch and that blonde Bob hair girl got on my nerves. Atleast they died so there's that. The ML purposely killed them so was he planning to help the MC out before the zombies got out or he gave up on this life and was like.. Peace out, better luck next time. It's made pretty clear that the ML is a regressor, with his state of mind, his cryptic way of speaking, obsession with MC and finally the flashbacks. One of the comments containing spoiler said that the scar on his neck is self-inflicted so I'm guessing his body isn't renewed? Like his injuries from the previous timeline manifest in the next? Also the same comment said that the ML stopped counting after the 20th so that explains why the ML is so unbothered by everything. Though he genuinely seems to be confused by this timeline's MC. He is sweeter to him and speaks to him, I mean on one of his flashbacks.. The MC called him a psycho and told him to stay away. Also I was surprised by the MC's willingness to accept the ML's advances. Like he always clears his doubts, placates him and reciprocate his kisses, allows him to lean on him, hug him and so on. The MC is the cure and the ML is the one who caused the zombie virus in the lab after fooling around with his friends.. That's a spoiler btw. I am curious about how this will be unveiled. P. S. Chapter 23 and 24 are the same

The Foul

Ongoing | Aczer,Chaepali | 2000 released

This is phenomenal. I like the MC a lot, even more than the ML which btw is out of the norm for me. I like that the plot is at the forefront for this and the dots are connected one by one. Every decision made is done after careful calculation, it's every man for themselves. There is nothing done just for love or compassion, everything has an ulterior motive. I like Hawon and Jahan's relationship even though the latter is hella annoying most of the time. I like how Hawon cares for him, I like how he is aware of his father's crime and acknowledges it instead of ignoring it. I like the flashbacks especially, his dad was such a piece of crap but he loves his son dearly. That juxtaposition makes me conflicted and makes it all the more interesting. The bio mom is a painter and she seems to be a pivotal key to this all debacle, the step mom seems to genuinely care for Hawon and he loves him back too. The reason he slapped Jahan was because he tore the letter she wrote him although it was just four words "I am so sorry". Taehan's fixation on Hawon is because of his dad who kidnapped him for a ransom and made him the horrible man he is today. I like that too, I think he fancies him as well but not in a pure way. He likes his face and body, and wants to dominate him. Tangbang is a cunning merchant and I like his character, he knows so much. I want to crack open his skull so I can find out everything. Aiel is also interesting, his hobby is umm terrifying.. Stuffing pretty things? Ewww! Reminds me of Dylan from 'I tamed a tyrant and ran away', before she tamed him he considered stuffing her so she could remain by his side forever. The loan sharks are so annoying and a hassle, they are a reality that is hard to digest exists in our world. Interest is something I learned that I hate, so unfair. Only someone at the end of their rope takes from loan sharks.

Global Examination

Ongoing | 白梦社,木苏里,有马文化,晋江文学城 | 2019 released

Oh man I actually love this? I saw this when a commenter mentioned it on 'Codename Anastasia' so I decided to give it a try. I like You Huo and Qui together, they are partners in crime... literally. Furthermore, I love that dynamic shifted with You Huo being the examiner in the past and now him being the examinee. The pregnant girl's backstory was very unsettling to say the least.. Like I thought she was pregnant from the get go but it's because of that old Romani grandma? Sheesh! I love 001's subordinates as well, the sea sick guy and the guy always making meals. I love how they name MC as 'God of Misfortune' and always have a headache when it comes to him. The fact that both of them lost their memories is one thing, but the feeling that they are so close yet so far to one another is.. uncomfortable? Like the feeling that they are almost there makes me uneased. I just hope that they will get back their memories ASAP. Tbh I didn't understand the games as I'm not one to use my head, but I appreciate the dedication. I just wait for the characters to figure it out, I don't even try to get it.
