Lost in the Cloud

Ongoing | Kim Pas | 2000 released

The story..oh my god!! It's packed with emotions and the characters are so fucking realistic that I wanna punch them in the face. At first I was a bit creeped out by the idea of taking a picture of your crush and storing them in SoundCloud of all things but I have come around to the idea that it is harmless...in his case. Him realising and accepting that he didn't actually love his crush Chun-il? and that he was projecting the asshole that was his first love as well as the one who caused him so much trauma unto him was such an important moment. The thing about Skylar is that he isn't submissive or as timid as he appears, especially after the flashback scenes. Minwoo being homophobic and bullying him was the icing on top to make him top my most hated fictional characters list. The thing is that I have read so many terrible and despicable characters over the years from rapist, assaulters to downright pedophiles but those all seem so out of reach for me. But him, I know people like him exist, I have seen him in real life, him blindfolding Skylar and having another man kiss him and touch him, spread rumours about him being gay, initiated the bullying and him in that scene where he is so nonchalant while smoking and looking at his phone while students beat him up. That infuriates me. Him suggesting that they beat him somewhere that can be hidden since his mum and Skylar's mum were friends and he was afraid of being caught out was when I reached my snapping point. Whyyy??? Whyyyy?? I hate him!!! I hate him!!! Also the ML (forgot his name atm) backstory is sad as heck..Candy and MC is the only solace in his life now. At first he seemed like the typical bully top but so much substance and care was give to his character that I can't help being drawn to him. Hot take : The dad is worse than the stepmom. The way he looks at him is downright scary..how can he look at his own child like that? And he is already on his fifth wife? How can someone love a man like that? Loving their wife but not their child..it's a theme I've seen more times than I care to admit. Although I skipped around..I understand the gist of it and I am a fan.
