Stuck in My Sister's Dating Sim
I like how simple this is. The MC is not annoying and everything feels so digestible. The plot isn't anything special but it's such a nice read. I love how he was in his past life, such a typical older brother. His sister was playing an otome dating game ignoring her tasks and he came over to scold her only to get caught up himself. When she saw him playing it, she kicked him and he pressed a button...and viola he is in the game. I like the contrast from him being the older brother to him being the youngest now. His siblings are so protective of him...but I hate the four-eyed elder brother. He didn't leave the best first impression. Also there is yuri love between the villainess and heroine too. Golly..
I Thought It Was Time!
Aaahh! I absolutely adore this manhwa. The ML is a puppy with a lot of insecurities and abandonment issues, and the MC is a pretty girl who is talented in healing magic and who is misdiagnosed with an incurable disease (will only live for 3 months supposedly). But it was good in the long run, since it gave her the push it needed to leave her abusive family and find happiness for herself. She has a bunch of things she wants to do in her bucket list, one of which was to have a lover. That lover turns out to be the cursed Duke. The Duke is a good person in general, but with the MC endearing personality and her warm actions, he starts to like her after pushing her away. They deal with miscommunication but it is resolved relatively soon with the MC's efforts. And things like sex are being said freely so I was a bit taken aback at first. Also the ML's insecurities is totally valid since his curse makes his skin rotten so he avoids skinship. He cares deeply for the MC so he tries to abide by the rules of the dating book given by his butler, one of which was to take things slow since their partner might be bored and also not to be too jealous. The latter I was pleasantly surprised by since the ML in other manhwas are not as considerate and have been jealous for milder reason. Here the priest is straight up like 'I'mma steal your girl'. The priest is the next pope to be because of the immense holy power he possess that is unique and powerful. So he gets surprised when the MC can heal him because only someone of the same level can heal another person, thereby speaking of the capability of the MC. He only sees her as someone to be used initially but later grows fond of her and tries to seduce her but to no avail. Then, he resigns to his fate somewhat and admits to himself that the MC is looking at someone else even as she is with him. The two leads are not as yandere as I am familiar with and that's a good thing (don't get me wrong). What more, the ML was cursed when he was a child and the mage who cursed him has since died so it is that much harder to cure him. The priest came from a humble background so there is a senior priest that is bitter that he gets to be the pope. The MC's family is trash, her older brother is jealous of her for her talent (she has an immense mana and powerful magic). Her parents didn't allow her to train but a trainer found it wasteful to leave it be so they trained her in secret. That's it for now. Currently upto Ch28.
Dr. Player
I enjoyed this. It was engaging although it feels flimsy at times with the MC falling into the 'I only care about money' mindset. All those faces he makes pisses me off too. The character development is non-existent as of now but hope is there for improvement. His first pupil is a puppy..so adorable. He misunderstands him to be some type of saint that only serves the people without caring for himself. Though the MC isn't a complete douchebag, I wish the author would just make him out to be a good guy instead of doing in a round about way of him acting this way for his selfish reasons yet a bit of consciousness prickle him when he makes an error in judgment. Also despite being an illegitimate prince, there seems to be some type of secret to his birthname 'Penin'; his mother's surname. That shady character mentioned something about his emerald eyes that some family possess so...it has to be him. This is a cliche I can get behind. I hate that the 'Iron steel' skill deprives him of development when he's anxious or loses his composure. He has been in situations like that so often now, you would wonder how he manages to be so all over the place till now.
The Law Of Being Friends With A Male
Oh this was just lovely. A joy to read. It cleanses my soul and makes me squeal. First love really hits different, reminds me of how I felt reading 'Eleanor and Park'. The comedy was done so tastefully and is a parody of sorts, it also breaks the third wall constantly. Also, I love that Bora is such a cool person and I love the MC's first meeting with her sister. She just stood on the swing with someone on it. I wonder tho how Jay mistook her crush to be Seohyun. Seohyun is an adorable puppy. Jay is a social butterfly but sets his lines properly. Bora is a relatable queen. I also live for Soyeon's loyalty to her bestie, she also made a move after she was certain that MC liked Seohyun now. But I have one problem.. The cliffhanger? I don't want him to misunderstand the situation. I hope that the author won't drag this out, based on the past chapters that doesn't seem to be the case since it was resolved through communication and confrontation so I'm not too worried. And also the rizz on Seohyun? When he suggested that Jay should ask Bota for matching phone cover.. I'm like boyyyy. Anyway I like that he's not one dimensional. My sister (whom I read this with) mentioned that the MC's love language was act of service and the ML physical touch. Man they are too cute!!!
I’m being raised by villains
This was so lovely. The MC is just lovely and so adorable, I hate her previous family. Why would u pamper your two sons yet neglect your one and only daughter to such a degree? Anyway I love her and her father's bond. I like that the maid was a bad person, it was a twist that I didn't expect. I just thought she had an eccentric personal since it's pretty common in this medium. I like Richard and the young priest, the narcissistic prince is adorable as well. I couldn't care less for the tsundere grandpa tho. He hurt our MC way too much. Richard and his dad share some twisted traits, maybe it runs in the family? Who knows? I like that the og MC and her get along. She was so happy when she called her "Unnie". Though her dad seemed displeased by it, I also love her dad's personality. I thought he liked her from the get go but it seems it was only an interest. After she risked her life for him to procure those berries, it was only then that he started to view her as his daughter. Also that speech by his wife was so touching. Maybe she is his daughter in some way? Wouldn't be surprised.
The Male Lead Monster Lives Under My Bed
This was wholesome as hell. I like that the MC has gotten closer with her brother, he truly cares for her. The MVP is of course the slime. He is adorable, strong, kind and gentle. I have one question, does he not know that he is the Duke? Maybe he lost his memories. In the latest chapter, we finally see the Duke so I'm ecstatic to see how this will play out. Also I like that the evil maid's daughter Bella is actually a good person. Yay to that! The Duke is a stupid antagonist. He is so dumb.
Lord Baby Runs A Romance Fantasy With Cash
Cute cover page Update (4/9/23) : This was very very sweet. Maybe a bit too sweet? Whatever the case is, I like it. The father is very very doting and her brothers are very cute. The second likes her from the get go while the third can't accept her easily because she doesn't have magic energy. He likes her as well and seems touched by her persistence to get closer to him, add the fact that she didn't tattle to their father about him threatening her and also her description of magic energy as something cozy resembling the night. The eldest son is yet to be seen. I wonder how her mother died, so she didn't die giving birth to her? That's new. Also the God(?) who gave her a chance to reincarnate seems to know her. Is she someone special? I do think her cousin being so young shouldn't be that despicable but whatever.
Blaze Out
I like this in a different way than the author's previous works. It surprised me that the seme(I assume) is a rich old man's lover and the uke is an intimidating loan shark. The former has the chairman wrapped around his fingers and seems to have a thing for the uke. I mean in the first scene, the seme fucked the uke pretty hard in the bathroom (tho the uke had a blindfold on so neither of them saw each other's faces, the seme probably knows him but I wouldn't question it if he didn't since this is yaoi logic). The uke has a mole under his eye, which the seme is weirdly fixated on and I can't figure out why (I think his blind fold covered his beauty mark as well) . Also why is the seme seemingly obsessed with uke, just because he fucked him that one time? I like the uke's personality, he is so kind. His kindness reminds me of Cale Henituse from TCF in the sense that they are inherently kind, it's not the type that's in your face but the considerate type. He wants to take revenge on the chairman and is very patient in his goal (people like him are the scariest). I love how he looks after his people as well, Yeongcheol's mom is a bitch, the lowest of the low. When I saw that she bought so many shoes while not paying her rent(?) I was livid. The flashback didn't help either, she left her son at the age of five and came back into his life when he became successful and leeches off of him. The seme is a black Panther (name given by the uke since he didn't wanna give out his name), very quiet, doesn't take initiative yet follows accordingly, is shameless and does his own thing. He also likes plants and tends to them, which btw is why the uke gave him the name panther as he resembled one in the scene where he tended to some plants.
The Duke's 99th Bride
I have no idea how to feel about this story eventhough I have read upto Ch40. At first, everything seemed to be moving so fast with all the foundations for this plot being set then it felt like the story stayed in the same place and did not move for a while. The MC is..how do I say this? Not consistent. Sometimes she acts like a country bumpkin who easily blushes and is impressed by everything then a noblewoman who is ignorant of the world and is easily gullible, then an airhead who doesn't enact revenge or clapback even when placed in danger, then a smart and physically strong person the next minute. The writer seems to have quite an imaginative mind, with how the characters and the way the story is going. It feels like the characters are being jerked around by the plot. An established fact that we know about a character is disregarded in a critical moment, like the ML being able to talk back to the Emperor then being aware of people's eyes. Then the MC fighting back against Terry then acting like a damsel in distress when the Emperor's guards target her and the servants and butler are put in danger. My fav character rn is Penelope. She is CONSISTENT and a goofball. I like her. Not to the level of Terry tho. That boyy is whipped!!
