Don't know if it's supposed to be twisted cute. But sur is relatively light-hearted and happy-go-lucky all along, not in a bad way but not in a good way either. There's no real afterthought consequences for anything that happened ; Uke lost all his money which lead him to prostitution which lead to him getting raped all because of his happy easy going nature or desperation to others validation. In general it wasn't romantic, two awkward guys yet extremely different getting together. Seme fall for Uke first and start a stalking spree -taking unconsenting pictures- fallowing him around and stuff that are brushed off quickly.

This author seems to get ahold of how to make her characters loose trust in each other and create misunderstanding situations that do work.

It end with the brake up and eventually realizing that the relationship wighted on both of them.Then by the end of S1 they got their feeling sort out. S2 was more cute and light to digest they finally officialized their relationship and live-in together as a happy marriage couple. At first it confused me since it tackled so deep topic but kind of sorts it lightly so I wasn't to sure but it dropped trying to hard and went for cuteness.
