Stranger Than Friends
So yeah I'm going to re read the first half of this webtoon since I found it complete and I need a refresher.... hope it won't take the hole night. Oh My God I love it, it's a full circle, starting with wanting to recreate an old picture at present time trend and finish with doing it. ____ S1 was cool with a lot of funny moments, and the Chibis drawing ware the bast part for me. The relationship was smooth selling, both character were realizing their feeling for each other's while growing as characters in a real like type of way. The inciting incident – a joke kiss turns steamy – is just perfectly fitting for a relatable modern childhood friends to lovers story. For some reason this author have a tendency to make tops having a jerk personality. I love the stupid parents couple and especially the mom. Wish we had the other mom happy ending.
Speak Of The Devil
Can't remember exactly way I don't like the love interest. Maybe the relationship was toxic and imbalanced in many ways ( professional, personal, emotional) and very exploitative. Even though it's not completely his fault. MC was into him way before they started physical relationship and cling to him desperately despite having every reason to go away. The author did a great job at manipulating readers to be invested in MC POV, since I usually can't stand this type of character monologue, but this one I was kinda rooting for him to find happiness with love interest.
My Bad Younger Man
FL is so freaking hateful, no wonder ML still hold grudge against her with that shitty personality. She isn't quirky and funny, rather annoying and selfish even though the story is trying to show that she's a nice goody good girl that's not the worse but not likable either, probably due to forcing her character to fallowing the "Stupid naive FL" model. It's seem that she have a dark back story with no explanation, but it's not her being unable to have sexual relationship cause she did just fine with ML. Which makes me wonder: why making that a big problem in her life if it not going to be in the story? Like there's no reasonable explanation. Those were my first thoughts and it's surprising that I grow to like FL and understand her after 60 chapter ML is surprisedly consistent is away, being torn between his hate for FL & wants to revenge and his attraction to her. He's honest about his feeling of curiosity with himself and her, he's straight forward with her wanting to continue the sex relationship with no further promises. From a reader POV their relationship is all about pride and it makes sense. He don't know what he's feeling for her now after thinking about her for the last few years and FL not wanting to lose her statue as an elder sister. Or so it seemed but he was so straightforward and she was so brave trying to overcome her trauma
Drunk in Love
God I didn't like this second chance romance... Weirdly enough I'm not attached to this story in particular it was to soft with the toxicity. OMG this is the second story where things get physically violent, Sho is the one who throw the punch.
Define The Relationship
MC aka karlyle Foster is timid, reserved and not affectionate. He spends his whole life distancing himself from others. Love interest aka Ash Jones is a bit suspicious ~ since I tend to distrust ambiguous characters. He seem to be hiding something ; a past related to MC , a revenge or another plan of some sort ? Having a weak spot for emotionally vulnerable MCs always make me doubt their love interest and I blame "" for that! So now that I'm 30 chapter in the story I sincerely hope the LI is genuine about his feelings for MC Maybe it's a me issue but I hate when a character get attached deeply with another to end up getting hurt in return. A misunderstanding trop!
