Dear Door

Complete | Pluto | 2000 released

So this comic had a rough start (because SA is a hard no-no), but the art was terrific, the characters' dynamic was interesting, and I was interested in both backstories. The underlying mystery of the cults and the mysterious deaths while the MC investigated. But then this devolved into pure p*rn with barely any plot, lmao. I love how someone coined the MC's character development as getting Kyungjooned. I completely forgot this man had a life outside of Cain and getting kidnapped and SA'ed by the entire cast constantly to the point it got super annoying. All the fights and the lore just became a mess, and then Kyungjoon dies, which infuriated me the first time I read this, but Ig, it's an okay move. I got sick and tired of Cain and Kyungjoon getting split up, too. It was fine the first time. We thought Cain was about to die, but Kyungjoon ended up barely saving him, so we had to wait for Cain to regain some of his power before he could return, so it felt good when they finally reunited. But then it kept on happening, and I just stopped caring. I couldn't care less about Sid. I know some people like him, but I don't personally. I'm sorry, but I don't like his romance with the villain (having them both reincarnated did not fix anything), and his random turn to help the mains, even though he'd been out to get them this entire time, was super weird. I'm glad Jinyoung had a happy ending with the doctor. He was done dirty throughout this whole thing. The relationship between Ben and the pervy angel is fine, and I got to appreciate it more in the side stories. But yeah, this turned into pure garbáge. The only good part past ch 50 - 60 is the side stories. I feel like the author wasted their world-building and some of the characters in favor of fanservice and more s*x stuff.

Ongoing | Yodogawa Yuo | 2000 released

I wish I could have put the fluffy goodness tag on this one but this was basically pwp, I can’t believe there are people defending the weirdo crap including the SA and fat festish part it was just no. This comic could’ve been so good had they limited it to the first few stories but they just ruined it :/. Great concept terrible execution If I ever reread, I’ll just read the first 4 chapters and leave it at that I don’t have to read the rest. 3 out of 10

At the End of the Road

Complete | Haribo | 2016 released

I can’t see why people would like this one. I feel like their relationship is just too toxic for me to the point the romance pretty much came out of nowhere. We hardly ever see Woojin act like he’s in love with Taemin despite him ‘’being head over heels’. He never acts slightly awkward, blushes, nothing, all we see him do is just force himself on Taemin. Him leaving to get stronger for Taemin was kind of… weird, but I guess he was a kid so maybe that mentatilty makes sense to a 9 year old or sumthin, but idk why he didn’t just yk go to get physically stronger, that makes more sense. He’s honestly just a dirtbag and never really changes, Taemin is just expected to change to adjust for Woojin’s ‘needs’ and abrasive personality insteaed of Woojin adjusting for Taemin cuz he’s yk, supposed to be in love with him. I get the backstory of the both them being born to abusive homes and how they ended up, only for both of them to end up in abusive home again, but I felt like the story should’ve focused on that, because that was where it was strongest. Woojin could have been a quiet, brooding teen but he shouldn’t take it out on people, cuz he just looks like an a**hole for no reason. His backstory should only explain what he does not excuse it. (Notice how these authors love to make these terrible characters and then randomly drope sad backstory lore after they do deplorable acts to try and make up for it.) I get that Taemin slightly liked him, but there’s that and just having no backbone. Which honestly Woojin a worst person cuz he takes advantage of how Taemin has never truly experienced affection or romatinc attention, and intimacy to catch him off guard. And after they get together Taemin just goes deep into tsundere mode and I hate tsunderes I’m sorry. Pretty much all the characters are all insufferable or one-note, the only ones I kind of enjoyed is Minjun and Hoon although their weird master/slave dynamic they have is just… no. Anyway I feel like the more I talk about this the less I like it. I was right in dropping it but I’m glad I actually know it’s trash now. 3 out of 10 It only gets an extra point because the art is absolutley gorgeous and they have some beautiful dynamic scenes.
