Uke is the reincarnation of the next generation demon king, has always been able to command others but doesn't like it. Hero is sent to defeat him but they must do so in a non-violent way. Hero lives with uke to keep and eye on him.

Uke is a wanted fugitive. Seme is a forest monster that saves uke in the forest one day. Uke who has powers to make people desire him, tells the monster to stay with him which he does but can only travel using uke's shadow.

Uke is a sacrifice from his village for a demon. Seme likes that uke is pure.

@ Ch 60 Uke used to be king of demons, super powerful and came from some other world that he can't remember. He randomly loses powers/mana and his close followers rebel. Followers want him to bear the next heir because he has the special ability to. Keeping him alive to study and find out more about his ability. Seme offers deal to keep uke alive with his past life as long as he sleeps with him. Uke has past memories of a lover long ago but doesn't remember his face.

Uke made contract with devil when he was a kid to be saved. Uke finds out demon's name by guessing and seme got mad because that moment is how he realized what it means to be lonely. Now looking for uke to kill him, uke knows but seme gets him to stay at his hotel as uke investigates other supernatural creatures/demons for work.
