The Princess Doesn't Want To Marry Her Ideal Type

Ongoing | 라노브,권수리,테주 | 2019 released

Cute and adorable damn. Drawings also pretty and I love MC's character. So unique in the gender to see strong FL that smiles so rarely and is faithful to her beliefs, not letting feelings mix up anything in her. She also isn't stranger to feelings at all and doesn't seem to be quite that oblivious even if she also kind of is? I just... Really like the MC. MC is amazing

Crows like Shiny Things

Ongoing | Mr.C,Mijoo | 2000 released

Pages in chapter 69 are mostly messed up. Almost unreadable unless someone is into puzzles lol good that I am xD I like imperial family here in a way. Mostly unless MC is part of it they are in bigger part greedy anxious assholes that want to get rid of any and all potential threat instantly even if it's not a real threat. Like. I like the emperor <3 xD Anyways, SPOILERS in the latest chapter she goes to war and most of the story is main couple struggling with their pride and feelings or rather running away from them and chasing. Pull and pull in it's finest form. Somehow, I actually enjoyed it. It was a little frustrating, I admit, but reading it I actually never thought of dropping it or pausing, so it says quite a lot. And I was actually suprised to see some actual smut (as in not suggestive scene cut). There wasn't much of it, but it's still rare to see it in this sort of story. Or at least I haven't seen many like that. I also liked that MC was actually strong. Mostly it is said that she is strong and then she constantly meets people stronger than her and needs ml to save her- this shit is not here though. Our MC is actually strong and we get to see it. She doesn't need to be rescued when it comes to strength and she also isn't so naive. (Not to mention she looks damn badass fighting). Sure, at times she may seem so, but honestly, when could've she learnt the subtlety of nobility or feelings on battlefield? Her whole life was basically spent fighting, but she still is intelligent and learns quickly. She isn't flawless, sometimes needing a little help to escape from situation peacefully - but it doesn't mean she couldn't do so by herself. Just that it would be a little bloody if it came to it. I love how confident she is in all situations (maybe a little less when it comes to what is going on between her and ml - even then, once she reached her conclusion after she stopped hesitating, she also became confident in that matter) She knows her worth. I also like that she isn't constantly smiling, when her personality is more 'stable'/calm/unfaltering one and doesn't suddenly change the way she is. I admire her loyalty. The answer she came up with in the end was one that left me awed even if I feel like I should've expected it. I am sucker for those types of development lol I like that she doesn't trust mindlessly anyone, that she knows when to take action and has strong beliefs. Yes, she isn't that strong when it comes to love, she is scared and confused and wants to hide from this unknown thing that conflicts with what she believes, even when it's connected to it and similar. But isn't it obvious? For person who never even thought of love, who never even thought about it ever concerning her yet, when the closest thing to love she met with was her subordinate that sleeps around with men or parents who (from what we've seen so far) didn't seem to be particularly affectionate and who died early... All her life she held sword. This is what she knows. She knows how to fight, knows when there might be danger, knows how to protect herself... and probably knows that the best solution to unknown enemy that can't be defeated is escape. I think her actions are reasonable when we think about all that her character is. The same Crown Prince. How many people there are in the world, who not to be hurt say hurtful things to others, who later regret it and then learn what they should've done back then? The world is filled with such people, it's almost instinct. Attack and this way protect yourself. When I think about it, it's almost shocking that basically it happened only that one, that he came back by himself and let himself be at risk of being hurt when he already was so many times in the past by others that he doesn't even feel anything about it. I'm not excusing his behaviour, it was shitty af and I really wanted to hit him that one time. Like, crush him. But when I think about some other male leads, I feel like in his situation they would go further, taking their anger out at her, constantly. Aside from that first burst of anger out of hurt, he did his best not to repeat it. Even in latest chapters he gave her out just in case, even if he was hurting. He didn't want to hurt her again. (Although I'm actually not sure if he is aware he hurt her time back then in the beginning...?) They both are inept in love and both are scared of it. I like that scene where they indirectly admit to it to each other. I kind of feel like their feelings finally reached each other. Even if now she goes to war. Sigh. I wonder if we are going to have time skip or are going to suffer together with main characters. Oh, i also like how she got sort of adopted by such a nice couple?? The fact that emperor has trusted and TRUSTWORTHY aide is amazing. Mostly it's someone who wishes emperor's fall or MC's. It's nice to see one that's worth of that trust. Story actually in big part focuses on plot... Hm. Or how she adapts...? Romance?... At this point I'm not sure anymore lol I think it focuses on everything in equal measure. Romance started pretty early on though, even if I say it also focuses on plot. It just... Kind of... Got halted at one point. Not exactly but yeah. It was interesting and I admit to being swept away by the the story. I didn't even notice how many hours I spent on it until I finished. I also find myself curious about the backstory of founding of the empire. It definitely seems different than in other stories where it's something like undefeatable guy did it lol maybe it also was what influenced the way imperial family is. Let's not talk about the other prince though lol ...though, now that I think about it, he is kind of pitiful. He probably was pushed to it the moment his friend got executed. Poor guy. I also wonder how emperor can be so sure of his wife? Is there story behind it or does he really have so much faith in her? First one is more probable, even if second one would be really sweet. Even if that would leave everyone with question what was the truth. And would make emperor pretty pitiful guy himself if he was wrong. But it could also be truth, the magic of *sparkles* genetics *sparkles* lol Kind of sad though that the designer guy got added only for mc to have killer dresses xD His character is so unnecessary if not to make mc shine brighter lol I want to sigh thinking about that duke. He is so tiring. I thought we'd get some good reason for everything, but his reason is so shitty??? I mean. He treated mc fairly and was kind and everything, but seriously, the way he tried to convince mc was getting on my nerves. Not to mention that as a 'reason' that would explain everything he just did something like that??? What is wrong with him?? And if emperor was still fine with crown prince didn't it mean that it was fine??? Like. From the moment he denied the knowledge in front of emperor or maybe even earlier, when they found Bass(?was it his name? The aide that's illegitimate son of noble) after he tried to pass the message (luckily he was fine), he just felt toxic to me. I don't know why but just. He felt like someone unreasonable?? Like sometimes you met person and they talk about something and you try to convince them it doesn't make sense but it gives absolutely nothing because even their arguments don't make sense and for them it's fine?? Like, alright, but you know you won't ever get along with them, even if maybe they might be good person. Good person isn't so shallow though. When mc clashed swords with him, it felt like he cared more about the fact that 'she doesn't love crown prince' (as if lol got his smirk wiped out). I'd even like to say that I didn't like him even earlier because he seemed... and yeah, right at this moment I don't know what to say. Because I didn't particularly like him since he was suspicious from the beginning, but at the same time I can't pinpoint what exactly I didn't like about him. It might as well be my second male lead radar warning me against not the male lead lol still, even if he was kind of courteous towards mc, there was just something off. I really wonder if he even liked mc. Even he said he did so, but only in front of ml and sort of in front of mc and there were no signs of him having any reaction towards mc. It doesn't mean there weren't any though. Still. Just. No. Oh. Though maybe his reason wasn't that shallow, he is widowed after all. Maybe there is something more to his reason. Still, as I said many times before, I enjoyed reading it and don't regret doing so. I can't wait for more. (And after a few scenes, his fat ass neck doesn't actually look that bad lol even if it does make me wonder if everything is alright there xD But no, I got accustomed to his looks pretty quickly and I can definitely appreciate his nice purple eyes) Currently at chapter 74th
