Raising a Bat
This was another manhwa that I gradually lost interest in. It's nothing compared to What Lies at the End or even Fools, but still a good read.
Almost Love
The story wasn't particularly compelling or unique, it's the classic "straight" boy who hates his bisexual coworker. Surprise, he doesn't actually hate him, but rather, resents that he is attracted to him. The art is nice to look at though, and there are some funny moments.
Lover Boy
Very Korean drama-esque. Classic slow burn and realistic drama. A younger college student falls for his older male friend whom he hasn't seen since childhood. His hyung now has a boyfriend, but has a soft spot for the dongsaeng he used to love spoiling.
Fools
A sunbae in college gradually falls for his cute hoobae, whom he knows is gay. He is confused by his attraction because he has never considered being attracted to another male. This is a very realistic drama about a university student who gradually realizes his homosexual attraction. In Korea, homosexuality is hardly acknowledged, and many people don't believe that it even exists. The homophobia isn't so overt as it is in other countries, which is why the protagonist slowly comes to recognize his feelings.
19 Days
This story is one of my favorites. It's impossible to get sick of this comic. The characters are so beloved and the tone of the story is gritty and sad but there is a lot of humor and fluff peppered thoughout. Jianyi and Zhangxi and so flipping endearing and I love their love. And the side story about Mo guan Shan and He Tian is also very compelling and enjoyable. Plus there's so much fan fiction for this comic. Literally so much...it's a big fandom...
Here U Are
Five stars for the art, three stars for the story. The art is so beautiful and detailed that the first few chapters were a bit overwhelming. The artist has simplified their style a bit so throughout the chapters so that it is still aesthetically pleasing but less overpowering. However the story is very slow to get going and not particularly compelling at this point. It has potential though, so I'm still anticipating future updates. Update: This is currently in my top 3 favorite webcomics. Story is more like 4 stars are this point. Still slow moving but very engaging and sweet. It’s the slow build and misunderstanding angst of the century. Grrrrr. And the art! Too beautiful to stand it!!
