Rin!
This is a great read for anyone who wants a simple, highschool, adorable shounen ai manga to read to pass the time. It has a cute story about childhood friends and has as wonderful dynamic. I really like how the author chose to represent mental weakness and how hard the main characters tries to fight his own weaknesses. I really liked the archery theme and how author made it interesting. Although the story is simple it still manages to make you engaged with the characters and you still end up falling in love with an old classic like this. The romance is fairly innocent and fairly realistic towards self discovery and towards representing innocent teenage love/first time relationships. Overall, I really enjoyed this manga and recommend it to those who like school life type of manga. Fantastic for re-reading as well. :)
Kare No Tokubetsu Na Kare
Great read. I loved the development between the main characters. I found the actor seme to be funny as hell and I loved the constant teasing and rivalry that was going on. The artwork is beautiful too.
Komatta Toki Ni Wa Hoshi Ni Kike!
Definitely a good manga for re-reading. It really is a classic and I really enjoyed it! Love the whole roommates things too.
Seven Days
I really enjoyed reading this manga. I really enjoyed how simple yet realistic it was when it came to portraying a gay relationship. It was heart warming in that the one mc was looking for someone/partner who fully accepts him for who his is rather than liking him at face value. The whole "dating for a week" was cute and was able to show the love being unraveled slowly. The drama cd was fantastic and was done by my favourtie seiyu (voice actors). The live action adaptation was done pretty well and followed the manga pretty well. Overall it's a great manga to read. Nothing hardcore, purely 2 young boys discovering who they are as individuals and finding the right romantic partner.
Kiyona Yubisaki, Bukiyona Tsumasaki
Loving this one so far. I really am enjoying how this manga is playing out the character development between the mcs. I also really enjoy how comfortable the characters are with trying things that are considered "feminine" like finger nail painting. We seriously need more of this type of gender neutrality and this REALLY helps break any old gender stereotypes and helps open the concept of being comfortable with trying new things and breaking away from rigid, institutionalized constructs. Overall it is a cute start to a yaoi manga, with a realistic portrayal of friendship and kinship.
