To All the Corners of the World
The anime for this was amazing and made me come searching for the manga. I initially had low expectations but I was astonished when I watched the anime. This is no less than a masterpiece! I will judge it based on what I saw on the anime. The characters are beautifully written and have intricate personality traits. Their endurance, hope, and determination to live despite the situation is truly inspiring. It really makes you feel as if you were apart of a family that is trying to survive during world war 2. The moment that Suzu lost her right hand and Harumi died, it was as if everything was taken away from her. Like her ability to draw, cook rice, and wash clothes. But at the end, the author gives you hope by bringing back a character similar to Harumi and that simplistic action makes the whole story feel complete once again. This one definitely pulled on my heartstrings.
The Hero is Standing in my Way
Really boring isekai manwha. The female lead is really bland and stupid. The male lead is really dumb and stubborn. The art is passable but the female lead’s appearance looks so generic, like she’s a Disney princess. Storyline is boring as shit. I don’t know why I expected something better.
How to Hide the Emperor’s Child
Gosh. The male lead’s personality is beyond horrible, it makes me want to drop this story every time he opens his mouth. The story is extremely lacking in terms of plot. The female lead is strong and just wants to live a normal life with her child but all of a sudden, the male lead comes along and fucks all of that up. I highly doubt that he’ll ever be able to redeem himself. This story is so shit.
Koukai no Nai Jinsei wo
A profound story. The author portrays that the boy has no resentment towards people who treated him badly and he just simply wants to move on from that life. It makes sense to me. After death, I would also like to leave everything behind instead of hanging onto loose ends.
Shirahime-syo
The art is soooo good. I love the way the women in these stories were drawn, they all look like goddesses. The way their hair was drawn is just so pretty. Others might think that it is too excessive but in my eyes, it’s gorgeous. All the stories in these 5 chapters are connected to a woman named “Shirahime”. I especially liked the 4th chapter, it was beautifully written. I noticed that these stories are in someway related to the concept of soul mates, life-long companions, and lovers who await each other. Quite a short but simple read.
Secret Love Webtoon
Pretty cute slow burn about two high school students. The paneling is done in a super pleasant way, love it. The main characters are full of tension and refuse to reveal their feelings to each other. Their interactions give you a dose of serotonin but it’s not too cliche either. One problem. The chapter uploads are so fucking slow. My gosh, they come once a blue moon. The art is really nice and the lines are clean. Also Takahata is my type. Heart eyes. I like it even though I’ve read plenty of stories just like this one. Ch 58: What kind of douchebag hits a 4’11 girl with a wooden stick? Are you fucking insecure or something? She didn’t do anything wrong and just defended her friend. Luckily Takahata came in time to save her but wtf?
Father, I don't Want this Marriage
A girl isekai’d into a villainess named Juvelian whom stabbed herself in the chest after being told to die in her last moments. Turns out, the father who she thought despised her, actually loved her. It seems as if he doesn’t know how to express himself and he’s incapable of making a proper conversation with his daughter. There are several misunderstandings between the female lead, her father, and the prince (her lover). The lack of communication almost makes this story dislikeable. Fucking hate the prince, isn’t he supposed to be some ruthless mercenary/warlord? Shame he fell in love with Juvelian at first sight. Juvelian who was previously a despicable noble, is now named an ‘angel’ after the protagonist isekai’d into her. Really boring isekai Shoujo manwha. The plot is nothing captivating and the characters are so, so annoying. There is not much happening in terms of conflict, just a bunch of bullshit happening here and there. It’s unfortunate because the art is pretty. Ugh, so disappointing.
True Beauty
Read on Webtoon. I don’t know why people are reading it on here as I myself read it on Webtoon before dropping it. It’s shocking how terrible this story is. Jugyeong, an ugly girl can change her appearance after applying makeup. There’s a shit load of cliche and overused tropes in this manwha. Love triangles, breakups, stalking, drinking, jealousy, I can go on. She meets some hot men at her school and surprise, they all fall in love with her despite her insignificance in personality. The romance is downright distasteful and I can’t find a deep connection between the main characters because they simply fell in love without reason. There’s a bunch of unnecessary drama that results in no character development, ugh. There’s really nothing special about Jugyeong, Suho, and Seojun except for the fact that they have good looks. I can’t even suspend my hatred for Jugyeong. She’s so annoying, dislikeable, and basic. If she became a real human, I would punch her on sight. I can get why many people like this manwha. It’s obvious that many girls want guys like Suho and Seojun to fall in love with them even though they are no where near good enough. At this point, the author is dragging it out for too long. The plot is basically nonexistent as I prefer stories with one main conflict. Art is great but some parts are drawn in a lazy manner. Terrible. Hard pass for me.
It’s Neither Windy or Rainy, and nor Is It Clear
The art is nice but the storyline is really boring. The characters talk like robots and have quite literally zero personality. Their dialogue has no fluidity. Really basic romance story. Can’t bring myself to read further than chapter 6 so I’m dropping this.
