Really cute concept. I love the female lead’s personality, she’s very entertaining. But I wonder how this story will progress, so far it’s just a bunch of events that happen at her workplace. The art is so good.

Read on Webtoon. I don’t know why people are reading it on here as I myself read it on Webtoon before dropping it. It’s shocking how terrible this story is. Jugyeong, an ugly girl can change her appearance after applying makeup. There’s a shit load of cliche and overused tropes in this manwha. Love triangles, breakups, stalking, drinking, jealousy, I can go on. She meets some hot men at her school and surprise, they all fall in love with her despite her insignificance in personality. The romance is downright distasteful and I can’t find a deep connection between the main characters because they simply fell in love without reason. There’s a bunch of unnecessary drama that results in no character development, ugh. There’s really nothing special about Jugyeong, Suho, and Seojun except for the fact that they have good looks. I can’t even suspend my hatred for Jugyeong. She’s so annoying, dislikeable, and basic. If she became a real human, I would punch her on sight. I can get why many people like this manwha. It’s obvious that many girls want guys like Suho and Seojun to fall in love with them even though they are no where near good enough. At this point, the author is dragging it out for too long. The plot is basically nonexistent as I prefer stories with one main conflict. Art is great but some parts are drawn in a lazy manner. Terrible. Hard pass for me.

I could go on a gigantic rant about how much I hate this story, but I’ll spare you the time. I hate the female lead. The story is dumb and included a whole lot of baseless romance. I got so much second-hand embarrassment and I was just skimming through the chapters without even reading the dialogue. Bullshit plot that I don’t care about. That’s all there is to it.

I used to be obsessed with the anime of this when I was younger, it’s not as good as I remember but it’s a magical girl fighting spirits and collecting them in cards. What more could an 8 year old girl want? The art panels in this are low quality and the animation in the anime is average. Giving this high marks because of my inner child.

I hate the composition. The panels are squeezed together and it feels messy and even makes it a little difficult to read the text. I guess the short chapters help a little bit with that issue. Yet that is also a problem. I get frustrated because it takes forever to update and once it does update, the chapter is like 10 panels. I like the dynamic that the female lead & male lead has. Yamane is kind of a pushover but she isn’t overbearing and I enjoy seeing her being flustered. Taguchi is very handsome.. with piercings. Black haired male leads have no substance, but with piercings.. he’s my type. I’d only recommend reading once it’s been completed.
