Kanchigai Tokidoki koi
Gross. Teacher tries to rape the uke. Seme also has stalker tendencies too but at least he recognized them by the end, but that doesnt really change anything. Ch 5 was so messed up. Guy gets plastic surgery to look like his brother and sleep around with his brothers appearance. Really killed any enjoyment I had for this story. 2/10 for the queasy stomach i got
Mote Papa to Dakaretai Junjou Koushi
i love this kid. the kid out here playing cupid for his dad (≧∇≦) 8/10
Oya No Kao Ga Mite Mitai
Was very weird that the 6 yo boy was in love with the uke too and was able to push him down? Otherwise was cute, cliche, and generally lacking in pedophilia. I'll give it a 5/10
Blue Sky Wars
Uke is a teacher in training even tho he doesn't like kids. For some reason he gets forced to move in with this other teacher guy and starts to fall for him. There's a bit of drama about the seme's past and then they kiss and confess. Uh. So like they really just glossed over that bombshell traumatic past... like they really pulled a "hey thanks for telling me about your traumatic past where you got assaulted by your teacher and then your friend went psycho and stabbed him and for some reason you had to take the fall for all of that. By the way I love you and your trauma is now irrelevant" Also the kids were like 99% irrelevant Uh. 6/10? name on MAL is Aozora Wars
Fukigen na Kemono no Itoshikata
Guy gets sent to the beast land to teach them to follow human expectations of sexual activity? Ngl the premise just doesn't make sense. There's no point in teaching a country to change its sexual norms just cuz other countries dislike it?? They could be approached it as teaching them about human culture when an emphasis on sexual activity and sexual norms??? Anyway. Overall, for what it was this felt bland. 4/10
Gokusen
Daughter of the yakuza becomes the teacher of a bunch if high school delinquents. She's so much fun and I love the genuine, caring, rough and tumble relationship she's built with her students. She's fiercely protective of them and they appreciate her in their own clumsy way. All the characters a super fun. I love the yakuza guys crying everytime something goes down with Yankumi. I also appreciate that they're still immoral yakuza even if they fiercely value family, loyalty and honor. Honestly this is (almosy) everything I wanted GTO to be. About a third thru, the focus shifts from the students to the yakuza, which is a shame cuz I was really enjoying the teacherness. We never REALLY get to know the students individually. Kuma I think is the only one we get to know on a deeper level. (me huffing copium that a manga from the early 2000s will have progressive ideas and treat women like people. Edit: To my surprise, it actually kinda did! Kinda!) We got SO close to getting a romance free story but tbh it wasnt intrusive and did add to the comedy of the characters. SPOILER I did almost cry over Shinohara leaving at the end. It really felt like they were losing a member of the family. Pain. Overall, I honestly enjoyed this a lot. Some of it hasn't aged well like the only openly gay teacher being an actual pedo and some... many... if the comments about the only other female teacher but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasnt grotesquely sexist or bigoted. So like. Sugoi. 7/10
Hatsukoi no Tonari
Very fluffy former student x former teacher. Teacher (seme) moves in next door to his former student (uke) and cant cook for shit so the uke starts cooking for him. The more time they spend together the more the seme realizes the uke likes him and comes to like the uke too. Its short, sweet and simple 6/10 it's cute but we dont get to really know the characters outside their relationship at all.
My Bias Appeared?!
