Kirei na Onii-san ni Horeraremashita.
Ch 1-2: a bit noncon. Guy gets tricked into fucking the hot salaryman that frequents his konbini job. Hot salaryman is also kinda toxic "testing" the seme's loveby having a friend give him a hicky to make the seme jealous Ch 3-4: uke and his friend jerk off over an eroge, some fonfewswa (what is this supposed to say??? This is why i hate typing on mobile), uke has a mini crisis, they get together Ch 5: guy picks up a stray, gets him a job at his uncle's restaurant, 5 years pass, they're in love. Ch 6: kindergarten teacher is in love with one of his student's young uncle Overall verdict: 5/10
Yutori Shain ga Kachou no Karada, Nerattemasu!
Okay after a reread, Yutori is way more annoying that I initially thought. He just kinda does whatever he wants and the uke has to work around it. Overall it's still good so 6/10
Chihira-kun wa Maryoku ga Tarinai
Uke finds out he comes from a line of succubi? succubuses? succupeople? And now needs to get fucked by a guy to survive. So he goes straight to his childhood friend. There's some drama near the end and the seme gets angry, forces the uke in sex, and then gets all distressed about it. It's pretty standard. @me, i cried over this, but it's cuz my tear ducts are overactive so not actually an indication that this is good 5/10
Do You Like Handsome Guy
College aged konbini worker is tryna figure out what he wants to do with his life. He's choosing between staying in Tokyo do to he doesn't know what or going back home and taking over the family business. Then one day the hot salaryman who stops by the store everyday proposes a one night stand with him, which kinda freaks him out. Via shenanigans, they start a friends with benefits relationship with a deadline and then they fall in love and there's a little bit of drama and then a happy ending. My expectations were a bit too high for this one, so I was kinda disappointed. 5/10 name on MAL is Kirei na Oniisan wa Suki desu ka?
Kimi wo someru asayake ni
photographer runs into a young restaurant owner while visiting town to photograph the sunsets. he winds up working at the restaurant in return for room and board. Photographer is still haunted by the death of his past lover so we got some angst too. Some gripes: 1) romance characters need to stop kissing people without consent. 2) I was expecting the drama to be a bit more fleshed out? Seme confesses, kisses uke, uke panics and leaves. Comes back 4 pages later and they have exactly one conversation about the complicated feelings associated with losing a lover and moving on from them, and then we're done. Overall, fairly cute. It's got a good not quite melancholy not quite fluffy atmosphere. 6/10
Junjou Wanko to Retsujou Tattoo
Another tattoo artist seme, nice. I love me my tatted BL. It was pretty good in the first half but then the kinda dumb random drama happened and I was like -_-. Wasnt bad tho. Okay but someone explain to me why in every bl I've read recently someone ghosts the other. Can yall at least be like.... SAY smth first??? 6/10
Minori no Te
Uhh started as a pwp massage therapist fucks his patients, but then it introduces like the seme's past lover (a sports guy who quit sports bc a sports injury) and some angst, but because of the genre switch (pwp to drama) and bc we didnt follow the story from the start, the angst does not hit. 4/10
Blue Sky Wars
Uke is a teacher in training even tho he doesn't like kids. For some reason he gets forced to move in with this other teacher guy and starts to fall for him. There's a bit of drama about the seme's past and then they kiss and confess. Uh. So like they really just glossed over that bombshell traumatic past... like they really pulled a "hey thanks for telling me about your traumatic past where you got assaulted by your teacher and then your friend went psycho and stabbed him and for some reason you had to take the fall for all of that. By the way I love you and your trauma is now irrelevant" Also the kids were like 99% irrelevant Uh. 6/10? name on MAL is Aozora Wars
Araki-kun wa Kai narasenai
Been a while since I read a pure shoujo. It's a bit rushed and messy and very very cliche, but it's cute. Yakko's younger sister and mother are both big actresses so shes left alone a lot. Then the popular actor Araki shows up at her house and confesses and Yakko falls in love and theres some very minor angst and drama. Yakko's family lowkey sucks, Araki is a very enthusiastic puppy bf, and Yakko herself is a pretty generic nice girl. 5/10
