Gunjou no Subete
two friends who've always been in the same class suddenly get split up. Kai and Ren sometimes play act BL scenes but to Kai, it's no longer a joke. Furuya-sensei's works always have this grounded atmosphere to them and this one is no exception. I absolutely love it. has got that "don't wanna confess and ruin what we have" plot :D
I Can't Help But Love Him. [Plus Digital-Only Bonus] [VertiComix]
ML actually has insecurities despite being an arrogant prick. Female protagonist who isn't undermined by being sexy. solid 8 or 9 out of 10
Snow Fairy
this one has a kinda sorrowful, lonely vibe to it, so it's super comforting when the two move in together. very atmospheric. 9/10
Retsujou PARADOX -Banken ha Yoru Kiba wo Muku-
worth rereading for the smut and honestly pretty good plot. personally though? i wasn't a fan of the vibe? lowkey toxic feeling? at the very least, it starts off pretty unhealthy. 8/10
Sakaki-kun no Flight Plan
this was one kinda really sweet. had a strong atmosphere. 7/10
Mukuchi na Omoi wa Koi to Naru
Bright and friendly tall guy x kinda socially awkward handsome mellow guy. I do like the sunshine x anxious dynamic. They were cute! The relationship progresses slowly and naturally and they both figure out how to voice what they want. 7/10
Bokura no Tsuzuki
Uke and seme were friends for a short while as kids Uke moves away but comes back some years later in high school. He's cold and shy around the seme and his friends but they eventually bumbled their way into friendship and bumbled their way into a romantic relationship. Has slow burn vibes even tho it's very not slow burn. Had a 10/10 grandma who apparently makes bomb fried chicken 7/10
Until I Meet My Husband
None of my usual tags really work for this. This is a real story from a real person who suffered the prejudice and backlash of a homophobic life but managed to make it through to happiness. I think the moment that really got me was the mom who though she originally rejected him was able to overcome her prejudice. When she called all excited about Sapporo, yeah that got me. I wont rate this one since I don't wanna score someone's life experience, but it's a good read.
Nichijou Climax
Alright first of all their landlord Yoshimi is the 10/10. Her selling them that house for a massive discount was super sweet and I love her cranky kindness energy. There were some many complex emotions in this one. The entire plot and character drama revolving around the promises they've made to each other over the years and how some of those promises is just impossible to keep, that was incredible. High 8/10. Maybe if I reread it its be higher?
