Dominate Me With Your Power -Dom/Sub-verse -
Dropped at ch 12 .... you can just command people to die in this world???? Update ch 4. Surprise! This uke kinda sucks imo. Also am I just crazy or did the first chapter get split into three shorter ones? Update ch 7. I don't. I dont like it Update ch 11. Okay so it got a bit better. They're cute despite... how it started anf now there's more drama and the abusive ex is back Update ch 12. Just as I was ready to like this story, they hit me with this bullshit huh? Do I hate this enough to give it a 1/10.... 2/10?
My Master
Was pretty decent master x servant, alpha x beta drama with some of the worst executed kidnapping plots I've seen and a neck snappingly abrupt ending. It was so poorly executed I fully did not believe it was real. I thought I was reading a dream or something 4/10
Please, Take Care of Kang Joo!
Dropped at ch 37. 90% if the problems could have been prevented or reduced if the staff, the idol, and the public had any communication at all. I'm not even talking about the romance shit. It was obvious MC's company cares and listened to him, but they didnt fucking tell him he had a dangerous stalker? They didn't put out any PR announcements like "as always, please be careful with food gifts and never consume anything that has a broken seal." Then on top of that, Mr. Zero Self Preservation Skills didnt just... tell his staff he doesn't want anymore contact with the psycho ex?? He doesnt have to explain why but like, the staff could try to limit his exposure to him??? Especially the manger?? And Mr. Perfect Bodygard didnt say anything either? Just a quick "hey manager, as his bodyguard who's got an eye for danger, my client seems obviously uncomfortable with this guy. We prioritise the safety of our talent, so let's not keep putting him in the room with someone he clearly doesn't like." Basically, the staff were fucking incompetent given how many crazy psychos were attracted to this wildly famous idol, the uke doesnt have a single self preserving bone in his body, and the seme was the only mostly competent person for still having security follow his client even when he was wrestling with his emotions. I have zero interest in watching this clown show continue with a THIRD stalker 3/10. Maayyybe 4?
Stage of the Dark Souls
...cant say I liked it. Cant say I hated it. Cant say it was bad either. I think I have to say this was good. I felt sick to my soul but I also appreciated what it was. I think this is the only BL about a devil where the devil was actually a devil in mind body and soul. He twisted and corrupted an already twisted man. He abused the desperation of another poor, lonely soul. I just. I cant get over how they played both stories here. Victor was just an unfortunate man in an unfortunate position. Evan was already corrupt but convinced he was infallible and wound up losing everything to his own obsession. ...I guess I'm giving it an 8/10
I am Their Catships' Catservant
It's like... a found family but the found family kinda sucks? The ending was super solid and sweet and I did cry. But I also couldn't shake just how selfish and genuinely mean the cats have been to Yukiharu like this whole time? They really do treat him like a servant and have only made his life miserable... Also his dad really sucked Idk man. Wasn't really what I'd hoped it'd be. 5/10
Eunsuk & Jung-gu
I'll be honest, this is not my kind of story. I like a slutty uke but he was so codependent and irritatingly useless to me. Also hated the rape by the gross old man. That's not saying this is a bad story. They actually called the rape what it is. Just cus the uke didnt say no because he couldnt, doesnt mean he said yes. That's rare in BL so I appreciate it. It's an 8 for the story but enjoyment wise 4/10. Mmmmm. Maybe I'll revisit this in a couple months and see how I feel. If I still think the story was an 8/10, I'll give it that. For now 4/10
My Brother's Friends Can't Be This Big!
Dropped at ch 10. Meh. I could complain about DP on the second time being unrealistic or how the guys asking for consent is totally performative and they don't actually let her consent before just going for it. BUT really what annoyed me is that I just don't like them. They're annoying to me ¯_(ツ)_/¯ For what I read, 3/10
Perfect Buddy
Dropped at ch 53. I cant explain it, but it's like the story is hiding... Characters sometimes reference moments or past drama that I've been expecting to be revealed, but I'm 50 chapters in and it's only ever been hinted at and it feels like at going to be a long long time before anything is clearly explained, if that ever happens. People keep dropping hints and hints and hints that *something* has or is happening, but it's not quite enough. The mystery is good and fun but not at the expense of actually getting to know anyone in this story. Despite supposedly spending all this time in Hyunsoo's head, we still barely know anything about him other than he's got a temper and has violent outbursts. Hyunsoo and Youngchan haven't had a real, in depth conversation despite the number of times they've fought, physically and verbally. I like slow burn relationships where the two characters have to work out their own inner turmoil, but I don't feel like I'm even getting that. The story seems afraid to outright show too much about any of the characters. I dunno. I'm 50 chapters in, and I'd rather just watch everyone here get hit by a bus. I don't like angry, violent, arrogant characters, and I'm talking about Hyunsoo AND Youngchan here, and if we're not going to get any deeper into their heads and pasts (or even presents), then I don't see a reason to stick around. 3/10, for promising me an interesting dynamic and character study but refusing to actually give me those things after FIFTY GODDAMN CHAPTERS
