Tbh it just felt like... unrealistic? There was nothing concrete about the politics. Too many elements got brought in that wound up doing nothing like the seme being in love with his adoptive dad or the women encouraging the uke to keep pushing his policies. So 3/10. smut cant save a bland plot (also i'm not into candle play, ow)

last read v2 ch 10. Idk if theres more but I think I'm good here. Update ch 5. uh, so... so far the seme is adorable and the uke has very sexy, power bottom vibes... but we gonna talk about the creepy pedophile crap that definitely didn't need to be in this story like at all? Update ch 10. Glad he turned down the creep cus I could smell the isolation and emotional abuse a mile away. The seme is such a sweet guy and I would love this story so much more without the creep. Final verdict: 6/10

Dropped at ch 3. This is really interesting and genuinely well written, I just really do not like historical fiction. Maybe I'll finish this one day but I just cant rn Everything about this is setting up for a 9/10 though with a unique setting I've rarely if ever seen. Was NOT expecting the Amish to make an appearance in BL. I definitely wanna come back to this someday when I've got the bandwidth for it -/10
