Kimi ni Ienai Koto ga Aru

Complete | mofumofu edako | 2019 released

I am in hurt. The drama between these two is so painful but it feels so real, as in it's a result of the characters own flaws rather than a contrivance created by the author. I loved that the guys design job actually had an impact on his life and it wasnt just a back drop. Solid 8/10. Would give it a 9 but I actually didnt really like it because it left me with such a bitter taste

This Ending

Complete | Gwa-in | 2000 released

7/10. it was good but minus points cuz the ending was so unsatisfying. it feels like nothing get resolved.

Shinobeba Koi

Complete | yukue moegi | 2014 released

Bro they're adorable . I love relationships that have complicated emotional backstories. They've both been in love with each other for 10 years but the complicated feelings surrounding how they met and fell out made it hard for them, especially Toranosuke, to express their feelings. I love that by the end Tora figures out how to say wahst on his mind. There are so many little things about these two that are amazing. I love the whole thing with the rings. And also FINALLY a story that doesnt use rape, assault, or kidnapping ro create drama. The characters themselves have enough complicated feelings to make this an interesting story 9/10. Might be a 10/10 and not just cuz I'm a sucker for cool, gentle guys on motorcycles but the girls kinda sucked in this so I gotta think on it

Sahara no Sekiganrou

Ongoing | SOUTOME Emu | 2020 released

Got fantasy elements to it, love that. Uke can talk to snakes. Both are mercenaries living in the desert. Seriously wish they'd killed the shaman. I love Byaku but it wouldn't take thaaaaat long to kill a human with a knife. Zaza is best snek I would read a story just about her and Byaku honestly. Pretty solid story telling. Wish there was more and that it was liiiiitle more cohesive. I'd give it a high 7 or a low 8/10

Under My Skin

Complete | Usui iroha | 2019 released

Hot carpenter x hot salaryman. The art is super sensual . Starts off dubcon and the seme is very pushy here at first but he let's off a bit and let's the uke figure out what he wants. Story is simple but solid. Very atmospheric tone. Ima give this an 8/10

Warawanakute Ii Noni

Complete | Aino Coco | 2017 released

This one was actually really good, I'm almost surprised. Seme's girlfriends are always dumping him for his friend but he finds put in college that his friend is in love with him. There's a bit of a slow burn as in time actually passes in this story. The seme is genuinely a nice person and the uke is precious. Seme protects the uke from all the ukes stalkers. Also nice to see the seme care so much to the point of crying. PLUS he stops and asks the uke if hes okay during sex which is SO FRICKIN RARE WHYYY Ima give this an 8 or 9/10. Its good!

Oko-sama Box

Complete | AOMIYA Kara | 2015 released

The angst is strong with this one. Seme took advantage of uke's break up back in high school. They started a messy friends with benefits relationship until they graduated. Seme was and still is in love with the uke. Four years later, uke seeks out the seme and they have a lot of angsty back and forths. There's a fine line between understandable, character-driven drama and annoying, unrealistic miscommunication plots. This manga walks that line. It works just well enough and the characters are just forgivable enough that I could indulge in the angst without wanting to peel my face off over the fact that neither of them bothered to clarify their relationship for like, what, 1 year? 2 years? 6/10

Houkago Edge

Complete | muno | 2014 released

This was just unpleasant for me. Like I'm glad he sincerely apologized for taking things too far, but he keeps doing the same thing that spike Tobari's anxiety like making Tobari think his classmates are at the movie theater. My hobbies are all socially accepted so I cant speak to the distress Tobari must be feeling. Inui clearly has his own inner turmoil and is probably hiding it just as much as Tobari is, he's just also an asshole. I'm glad Tobari grew a backbone and is starting to accept what he likes. People really be out here complaining that a character has realistic insecurities lol. Anyway. Its complicated I guess. I think the characters are realistic especially in the way they lash out when they're hurt or scared. They dont exactly live in an environment where they can calmly express themselves and it does smth to a person to keep so much bottled up. Final verdict: This was good, but not the kinda good you read to feel good. 7 or 8/10

Boyfriend 17

Complete | Yoshida Yuuko | 2020 released

Dunno how to summarize this one. Uh, seme is a 17 yr old model, who's genearlly known to be callous and emotionless. Uke is like a writer or something who gets involved with the seme. Uke is very pure and doesn't want sex without. Seme sleeps around without any emotions attached and that causes a lot of friction between them. Very off and on story Seme is a literally a kid (17 yrs, so yikes) and really struggles with communicating his feelings and winds up talking like he doesn't care which only makes this relationship more complicated. Overall, I kinda liked this, but it also irked me and I'm not a huge fan of adult x minor with massive age gaps hmmm. 7/10?
