Nyankees
Lmao gangster cats. Was pretty fun, very shonen cliche-y for those who are into that, and had a surprisingly heartfelt but bittersweet ending. I hope our MC gets his found family happy end someday 5 or 6/10 it had its moments but like every shonen I was starting to get battle fatigue by the end. Comments are saying there may be more volumes so I'm keeping notifs on
Red Hood
Ayo this was so frickin good! I love me some beefy airhead super powered uke x tsundere but super kind werewolf seme 9/10 I just wish it was a liiiiiittle longer
PASSION
Dropped at ch 70. I need someone to just... explain the plot to me. I'm so lost yall. If someone sees this and for some reason wants to, literally just DM me I need an explanation so bad EDIT: giving up on this. Really only wanted to know the mystery about the brother. I could not care less about Ilay and frankly super lost interest in Tay as much as a feel do bad for the poor dude. I just do not give a heck. Byeee It's like a train wreck I cant stop watching. Another twisted, sociopathic seme. Tbh I'm more interesting in this luck plot and whatever is going on with the brother than anything else Update ch 66. Am I just dumb? I have no idea what the big reveal is Update ch 69. "How did you get here" he asks like there wasnt a super easy to find elevator that only goes to one floor 2/10 enjoyed none of it and I read so much
Amazing Agent Luna
Uhh... a LOT happened in this one. Can't say I enjoyed it but cant say I wasn't entertained by some of the bizarre writing choices and revolving door of love interests. 4/10
Muchuu ni Naruu yo
Interesting twin dynamic (no incest!). Honestly wish there was more of the twin I'm a big fan of the way the younger twin goes to beat up a bunch of guys for messing with his bro. It's just like violently sweet 8/10
Applause to our ancestor's
Initially really liked this but wound up feeling apathetic.... Season 1 reaction: FINALLY an intense, supernatural, shaman mystery with a cohesive plot, complex characters, and good pacing!! Gonna wait till more episodes before I continue Update ch 50. Well that kinda... sucked. The last 20 chapters are just a series of character's jumping back and forth between locations, proclaiming things and then immediately undermining those things, and me feeling frustrated that nothing seemed to have any consequence in the end. To make myself feel better, here a bulleted list of everything I found annoying. MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE LAST 20 CHAPTERS: . . . . . . . . >>Characters magically appearing in locations. By that I mean, Eun Cheon will be at the shaman learning place or whatever with Do-Rim. He leaves and runs into the murder mafia guy, gets kidnapped to a random location, and then seven pages later Do-rim just appears. Nothing to indicate how much time has passed, or how Do-rim found them. Like was it forensic investigation? Divination? I would assume divination at this point, but it frustrated me. >>The two ukes getting constantly raped by the incubus fucker right up until the final battle. Eun Cheon is literally half naked cuz the demon was raping him two minutes before Do-rim shows up for the final fight >>Do-rim promising to save Eun Cheon at least twice, and then immediately failing to do so, at least twice. >>The cut away scenes shaman people being like "their fate is inevitable" and "it's doomed, they're doomed" to convince us something bad is going to happen and then none of that happening >>Jeong Mok being REALISTICALLY a traumatized child who just wants to save the only family he's ever had in his life but NARRATIVELY really fucking stupid and frustrating. Mr. Murder Brother was really fucking noble resisting the incubus and suffering to keep everyone else safe, and Jeong Mok undermines ALL of that. >>The conflict ending with a Deus Ex Eun Cheon's Mom. This whole story has centered around DO-RIM's ancestors and DO-RIM's powers even when Eun Cheon was technically using them. Like, it's DO-RIM's family the incubus has a grudge against. We've built them up as something formidable, especially the Divine General. And then they all just die in one sword swipe in a single chapter and Eun Cheon's ancestors pop out of his ass to save the day. First 30 chapters are an 8/10. Last 20 chapters are a 4/10. Overall score... 6/10?
Delivery Knight
Did not expect that to go as hard as it did when I clicked on this. Banger. Fucking banger of a story. I'm so glad I gave this a shot. 8 or 9/10
Beast No. 6
Dead or alive
Last read ch 28. Bounty hunter Callahan just needs to catch 1 more criminal to collect a fat 10 mil pesos (?). His target is Jonny the Scammer, bona fide twink. Tbh there were bits that were pretty confusing. The story avoids going that play by play thing or giving exposition dumps, and generally does a good job presenting the information through visual storytelling and subtler dialogue... That said, there's A LOT happening in this story that divides what little space the story allots for exposition. As a result, it's easy to miss key backstory details (skill issue on my part) and could sometimes be a little unsatisfying? It's unclear for a BIG portion of the story if out Jonny is actually the scammer. He doesn't act like one even for the 1.5 ish chapters he's alone. I was never sold 100% that he's a criminal deserving of arrest. He just seems like some unfortunate guy. I think this actually could have benefited from being longer, having time to explore the characters (and world?) more. But it was still a cohesive, comprehensible story with what it gave us. Also shoutout to the person in the comments for explaining, re:ch 12 that Jonny lied about the timeline to give himself an alibi. I totally did not clock that at all 8/10
