This kid has a curse where he’s affected and can see ghosts. He gets sick by them to combat this he eats their souls. One day his friend gives him an object that unleashes this other guy who’s apparently his king list lover from 400 years ago. This guy combines their souls so they become one. If one gets hurt so does the other.
