I really liked the paranormal elements of the story, and was excited for what looked to be a rare poly romance, but someone on the Novel Updates forum posted spoilers for future chapters and this story is basically about the main character being forced into sexual slavery where he is continually degraded, assaulted and raped, often violently. Hard pass and instant DNF for me.

dnf at chapter 2 when the victim starts making excuses for their rapist, denies it was rape, refuses to report the crime, and even refuses to have the rapist be transferred to another hospital to complete their treatment. garbage.

no plot aside from constant rape. awful. On top of that, the Art took a total nosedive and looked terrible at the end of the series.

dnf at ch10. this is just horror with lots of scenes involving drugging and rape.

i read up to chapter 2, and then skipped to the last chapter. this is one of the bleakest and most depressing things I’ve ever read. just seriously nothing but pure, undiluted awfulness from start to end.
