LOL it ended kind of abruptly tho, i was loving the pacing until around ch 5.1, the slow burn was so good, then was surprsied to find out that it was already the second to the last chapter lmfao anyway, there's dubcon but well this is bl so ig thats tolerable, and i really love the ending like isnt chef x florist shop owners so cute and romantic??! and the references to their past memories were really heartwarming my sentimental gay men i love u but overall what i loved the most was how everything came full circle towards the end, that all they ever wanted was just to stay by each other's side, and thats really all there is to it aaaacckkk BY MY SIDE IS SUCH A BRILLIANT TITLE! oh how i wish loving someone is this easy and smooth sailing. And sakyou is so hot yall, i love men with beauty marks he's my type i understand u very well uyama lol

first 4 chapters deserve 5 stars. the author did a great job at gradually unraveling what happened between them in highschool. i love how there's apparent tension between them from the start. I just wished the last chapter wasnt so rushed, like idk i needed the conversation to be smthing slow and subdued and not as straightforward as what happened. But actually, it kind of made sense for them to finally be direct with each other after all the suggestive talk going on in the previous chapters lmfao plus the art is super sexy, theyre both so pretty!! i enjoyed reading this haha im a sucker for shit like this
