Shachou to Hisho, Ai no Shoumei
Well! That pulled at the heartstrings. Third story of the first couple, beware. It's hard and it'll make me bawl again, but omg, it was good. (And it's still a happy ending.) Second, childhood friends. I love how it wasn't that hard, that they regretted losing the time, but recognized some of it had to happen that way. I liked their relationship. Third was hard. Good, but hard. They both had such a hard time and I felt so sorry for both of them. This one made me tear up too. Great ending. So happy. These are definite rereads. Like the other I've read, wonderful stories. (Story 1: pages 1 - 75) Hot secretary and jealous president. (Story 2: pages 76 - 129) More interesting than the first. An art director and photographer finally acknowledge feelings they've held for years. (Story 3: pages 130 - 211) Machiya Hatoko has so much insight into the heart, and this story about two very lonely and alienated men — one the victim of abuse, the other, a man who isolated himself from love because of tragedy — who open up to each other in kindness and, so, find true love, is one of the best romances I've ever read. A story like this is so beautiful, it might even heal some readers.
Mata Ashita
Yup. Yet another lovely series of stories with really hot sex. The art is beautiful and the stories just warm my heart. Definite rereads!
Chibi Demo Ii yo.
Fun series of stories. I wish this mangaka did more. I love the art and the stories were fun. I liked the different take on the conflict with the friends--the height difference, rather than just "but... we're GUYS!" (No shit, sherlock.) Good stories, all three. The pick-up artist one was actually really cool and different.
Tenchou, Koi Desu.
Cute. Not heavy on angst, not too fluffy. It's sweet and funny. Good for a reread. 5.5 ch
Hitorijime no Jouken
I liked the first and the last. The host one wasn't bad, but I think I mist a couple of things in the translation and that kind of teasing because he likes the other guys reactions is annoying. If the other guy LIKED that, it'd be okay, but this... meh. The coworkers (1-2) and the chef/neighbor (4-5) are good, though. 5 ch
Nekasenaide
Lovely series of stories. The students, then the businessmen were fairly light and easy. The third, the baker and his long-lost lover was quite a bit harder, but really good. I teared up in a few places but I'm really glad to see them together. Definite reread. --- 1-2.5 Kento likes sweets and doesn't really notice that his bestfriend Hiro likes him. However that all changes when Hiro gets a part time job to get a present for someone he likes and Kenton feels lonely and a little jealous. Then it's Kento'sbirthday and he's depressed until the busy Hiro calls him out and confesses. They both start dating and their relationship moves along smoothly. 3-4.5 Hanasaki takes Sasayama under his wing when he joins the sales department. Not long after one of Hana's friend notices that Sasa likes Hana so he offers advice which starts a connection that Hana notices and gets jealous of. Finally Sasa works up his courage and confess and he and Hana start dating. 5-7.5 Watari has been waiting a long time for his love to return with no guarantee that Kyougo ever would. However one day Kyougo returns down on his luck with no where to go and Watari let's him in. Watari has never tried to make Kyougo stay but Kyougo wants to be equal to Watari and couldn't imagine being only with him which was why he leaves. In the end he returns home with nothing to show but finally having understood where he should have been the whole time, with Watari.
Love Romance Sweet Kiss
First one seemed a bit disjointed. I liked that they ended up together but it seemed a little abrupt to go from one extreme to the other. And chapter 3 of that one made NO sense. Neither did chapter 5. That was just weird. I didn't get why in the lawyers, he disappeared for three weeks with no explanation. They should have explained that little bit. Would have taken no more than two or three panels. Overall, I enjoyed them, though as one-shots, they were a bit lacking. They all needed a little bit more. Still, pretty good for a reread.
Ren'ai Bus Stop
Good for a reread. I think a number of them could have been longer and a little bit more involved. They were all pretty good, but seemed like they needed a few more pages to really be *good*. Overall, good though. Enjoyable and good for a reread.
Tonde Hi Ni Iru Natsu No Neko
Wish I hadn't waited so long to read this. So much fun and great stories. 1st story is author (spider spirit, no spider form!) and reporter (twin-tailed cat). BDSM and a great story. 2nd story is the snake and three-tailed fox (gov't employee) who tames him. :) 3rd is the bar "master" and his black cat. :)
