I really enjoyed this story, and I do like how the ex and Yumi were given a realistic portrayal, how Yumi found it hard to let go, holding onto the highschool version of kan chan some people have said that they don't like how kan chan was given some sympathy points but I disagree, I see it more from Yumi pov and how he keeps seeing the highschool version instead. and I also feel like it humanized the ex, maybe kinda like "this can happen to anyone" and how hard it may be to leave an abusive relationship, cause all you see is the good. I also liked during the abusive relationship is wasn't really normalized inside the story, like it wasn't shyed away from mentioning, and even if the people at the bar knew about kan chan they didn't know about the extent of the abuse (they did know, which j wouldn't say is a plus cause this kinda were fine with it, it may be a cultural thing, having the slight abuse he mentioned be more normalized idk)
