4 stars just for the cast of characters and their interactions lmao, this reads better as a comedy than a romance. Lowkey more development between Yuito and Shimizu than Yuito and Mina tbh, and her reaction to Yuito confession I found more annoying than endearing

Annoying as hell, hattori and taketu should just date and leave Mao to do whatever she wants or smthing The prequel was rlly interesting and the first few chapters were nice, which is unfortunate because it made me care about the characters which made me rlly Irritated when the story turned bullshit. these two literally never talk to each other and have no proper moments at all that aren't some form of them making up after a fight. Hattori mentions feeling like he loves Mao way more than she loves him and, yeah, he's RIGHT, it just seems like she's going along for the ride and forces herself to do everything he likes Also, not her getting overly jealous of that girl Rika when?? There was only rumours of her and Hattori dating, and they werent even true?? Insecurity is completely real and valid, but i cant feel empathy or even sympathy because her reactions are just ridiculous, and very hypocritical considering she actively interacts with fuse and even scolds hattori on behalf of Fuse, who has literally kissed her, hugged her, confessed his love to her multiple times, joined their date, and does all this crap in front of hattori. Bro at first i was like some of this shit is prob comeuppance for hattori being a brat in elementary, but now i just feel rlly bad for him. He's always trying really hard and mao doesnt at all, it's actually painful to read. I'm glad it seems like they've separated in the latest chapter and I won't read past it because I choose to take that as the ending, Mao doesn't seem like she needs or even wants a relationship, and hattori needs something other than Mao to care abt

they're both assholes lmao, blondie is manipulative and cunning while black-hair is careless and can't establish boundaries. they deserve each other ig, not really a romance, more like watching a meteor fall and waiting for it to inevitably hit the ground, which was kinda fun

It's the cute one where one of them grows up to be the chem teacher in the side story

Main couple is annoying lmao, they were okay in the first volume (?) But not great because saikawa is toxic and sexually harassed him, but I was fine because of the angel that is Kobayashi omg she's so sweet. I skimmed the rest but it just goes downhill, Tsuruga is fun as a character but unnecessary to the story, the couple gets more annoying, and worst of all there's no more Kobayashi at all, so really why did I even go thru all those chaps

Fav The younger couple is my fav but both are good, and rikuko is the real star she's amazing It's the one with the "stop at the red light" = "prevent communism" joke lmao

Honestly this is so weirdly cute that I reread it every now and then, one of those manga where certain scenes live in my head rent free

Waste of good art, I'm more disappointed than usual cause it had me expecting a nice plot
