Omgg this is so sweet First of all God bless thy angels that are Saori and Maru Also Tsubaki's pixie cut? Acc ADORABLE my heart rlly squeezed she's sooo cute, joined the pixie cut club with Saori and Maru fr lol Tsubaki and Mamoru are sooo so cute together, and they're relationship is so nice, I was falling in love with tsubaki in the beginning I could see exactly why she likes him Her growth is great too, she's a genuinely amazingly kind person with a lot of integrity, Noa is so right (love Noa too she's funny and keeps things interesting)

Annoying as hell, hattori and taketu should just date and leave Mao to do whatever she wants or smthing The prequel was rlly interesting and the first few chapters were nice, which is unfortunate because it made me care about the characters which made me rlly Irritated when the story turned bullshit. these two literally never talk to each other and have no proper moments at all that aren't some form of them making up after a fight. Hattori mentions feeling like he loves Mao way more than she loves him and, yeah, he's RIGHT, it just seems like she's going along for the ride and forces herself to do everything he likes Also, not her getting overly jealous of that girl Rika when?? There was only rumours of her and Hattori dating, and they werent even true?? Insecurity is completely real and valid, but i cant feel empathy or even sympathy because her reactions are just ridiculous, and very hypocritical considering she actively interacts with fuse and even scolds hattori on behalf of Fuse, who has literally kissed her, hugged her, confessed his love to her multiple times, joined their date, and does all this crap in front of hattori. Bro at first i was like some of this shit is prob comeuppance for hattori being a brat in elementary, but now i just feel rlly bad for him. He's always trying really hard and mao doesnt at all, it's actually painful to read. I'm glad it seems like they've separated in the latest chapter and I won't read past it because I choose to take that as the ending, Mao doesn't seem like she needs or even wants a relationship, and hattori needs something other than Mao to care abt

I immediately approve of the male lead, he drowns his pancakes in maple syrup as you should Yeah they're each cute and together they're both cute, it's a fun read. The angst was nice and it lowkey felt deserved on both sides, yknow? They both hurt each other, so anytime either of them were hurting I was like nice, deserved, but also this is so sad. When they finna got together I was vry glad and not annoyed at one of them for getting off easy, it just felt like they were finally looking at each other properly. I also really love subaru's costars, their friendship is so fun

this is rlly funny and cute, the prince cafe thing completely took me by surprise because I didn't read the summary. That was hella funny omg, reverse maid-sama omg LMAO yea I love the random-ass rapid fire cliches that end up being completely overturned?? hilarious. It also means that's there's no dragged out misunderstandings because they frequently push each other to fess up about what happens to be worrying them. also i love the artstyle, the main couple is rlly cute and they have fun chemistry. Some ppl are put off by the male lead but honestly he's not that bad, I actually like his character I find it really interesting -- and by that I mean he acc has a sense of character. He doesn't suddenly go mushy for the main girl, it genuinely feels like he grew fond of her and eventually fell for her, but that doesn't mean he's going to have a complete personality shift and act sappy, he's clearly stated he's not about that, but he does show he cares in other ways that are usually more through his actions than words. Basically, it's just his personality. Lowkey they have a cat and dog dynamic that I've usually seen with the genders reversed, and it's one of the dynamics I find fun. Althoughh, some parts just sorta... zoom by? and things are picked up and dropped fast, which makes some scenes or plot points feel rushed. Likee, what even was the baker girl lol. but, the relationship build-up itself doesn't feel rushed and I actually enjoy reading mugi and kurose together. Since that does seem to be the focus of the story, as there's no real plot outside their relationship, I'm fine with the random plot moments. Also everyone around them is rlly funny, my personal fav is Hinata she's so cute lmao. I do wish we got more expansion into the character's other relationships though, like Riri who seemed like she'd be so prominent as Mugi's childhood friend but just randomly pops in and out of the story every once in a while. all in all, I'd prob rate it closer to 3.8, I do really enjoy reading this though Also Aiko is a goddamn beast, I love her, I wish there was more of her. She's there for a literal hot second but by god does she make it count. I want a manga just about her bulldozing her way through shoujo manga storylines and tropes.

The main girl is so pretty omg, the dude is really charming I can see why she likes him even though he's such a red flag He's def leading her on despite making his boundaries clear but it's prob because he lowkey likes her and doesn't realize or doesn't want to. She also never actually confessed to him so it's this weird atmosphere of they kinda like each other but don't want to admit it after what they themselves stated early on ("I only keep things casual" and "I'd never date guys like you")

Lol the senpai annoyed me, it doesn't feel like he got his payback because it seemed to hurt the kouhai more, and also that doesn't rlly make up for so many years of messing with his concept of love. The senpai's personality was rlly charming and as a couple they're rlly cute, but it Irritated me that it feels the senpai got away with just dismissing the kouhai's feelings like that out of nothing but his own fear, like he should be guiltier tf, or at least acc face more consequences of how he treated the kouhai without it boomeranging back onto the kouhai. I can genuinely understand fear of getting into a relationship in highschool but there were better way he could have turned the kouhai down that didn't basically make a joke of his feelings ugh Oh and the second couple was fine ig, kinda mid, you only really have blondie's final confession as evidence that he acc likes the black hair one, so it's not that satisfying or romantic
