Okay so it wasn't a tragedy but it would've been better if it was lmao Ik this is a famous one, took me a while to finna read it, and honestly it's rlly interesting lmao at least like season 1 and part of season 2 It's like a psychological thriller type thing and I was actually Hella engaged in how dohyun was tryna escape and deal with sungho, cause dohyun is rlly clever and I couldn't help rooting for him even if he's a lowkey shitty person. I really did want him to escape, but then you veer into the backstory and it becomes less of a psychological thriller and more of a psychological romance and that's where it gets boring. I think the backstory was rlly interesting and I can see how they were both messed up and how dohyun was super shit to sungho, but also sungho's revenge is so excessive which obvsly cause he's psycho, and see I was expecting psychos, so if they both died it'd be nice (killing stalking style) or if they were both twisted and stuck together that woulda been like alright, but ya lose me when they seem to like face 'punishment' and repent enough in the narrative that they can have a fresh and romantic new start, which felt rlly off-putting lol, like no author adding highlights to both their eyes does not make me forget the fucked up beginning

Fuck off you piece of horseshit ur not a toddler Lol idk even know why this pissed me off, I was expecting a good story and kept waiting for it to get better ig, and I hate the hand waving away of how shit the top was just because he "loved the bottom all along<3" why did I waste my time reading this wth, normally these stories dont bother me unless I get invested, and I acc really liked the bottom as a character so I cared abt him and now I'm pissed off Do not reread if I come across again, the pretty art is a trap

This is so frickin funny omg lol Hart is my fav obvsly That aside the Mc is so fun and pretty, I rlly like her. Ceres is also rlly cute, the story made the typical beast and tamer dynamic refreshing All the characters are fun, I rlly like the third prince and his mother, it's nice to have a pretty and morally ambiguous female side character for once instead of an obvious villainess Spoiler alert! Though this is just a guess, but also it's like Hella obvious lmao, from the moment they revealed Ceres lost his memories I was like "this guy is definitely royalty" and it's practically confirmed when they hint at him having the royal jewel eyes which are a blatant rip-off of "who made me a princess" I hope he doesn't go blonde tho he'll look so weird lmaooo, maybe he just has sparkly black hair, the third son has his default colours of blonde hair and green eyes but like has a sparkly filter over it essentially. I assume it'll be the same for ceres, who prob looks like his mother who is probably that first empress that died So pretty predictable story, but still fun!

Okay honestly... honestly This is soo, idk the story has such a classic feel. The naively kind Mc, the handsome male lead (who is now rich), the misunderstanding that is sustained through perfectly curated plot devices that are lowkey ridiculous I'm hooked, I'm rlly into it, this is so fun to read, perfect soap opera angst I miss these types of stories lmaooo Anyway I rlly like the Mc, he's so stupid but it's personal because I feel like I would fall for this shit too so dunking on him is friendly fire Still it's so nauseating when I can tell he's gonna go downhill again, rip eunchae ur crime is apparently being a spoiled stupid chaebol

Sucks, this dynamic would've been so fun and cute if they hadn't dived into it such that it feels like I'm starting halfway through the story, there's no real introduction to the characters or a build-up / proper showcase of their dynamic, just a rushed storyline so they can get to the smut/ dramatic moments, which don't hit hard without the proper build up first Also honestly ik it's in the title and all but the gangster being an undercover cop feels like a cop out (pun intended lol) and it honestly would've been way more interesting if he really was a gangster If anything this reminded me how fun tidal wave is and how much better they did the plot twist so now I'm gonna go reread that for the tenth time lolll

Honestly, I like everything about this but their relationship lol It was really cute at first but by volume 3 it got annoying, I find myself more invested in everything else going on. Honestly, they're kinda just a really annoying couple xhxbxbx I don't even know what it is exactly, maybe that they keep miscommunicating but that's the while point of the entire story and it's dealt with healthily? Ig it's the fact it feels like the same stuff is happening over an over regarding their relationship. Idk I'm still reading and skimming over the romance parts which is pretty crazy for me lmaoo usu I eat that up

Kloff is fucking crazy goddamn, honestly I don't like him at all as a person. Ppl who get pressed over 'wearing a mask' or even his whole 'why smile, do u secretly like it is peak idiocy it reeks of self-righteousness and misogyny (even tho aeroc isn't a woman but still). Being regretful abt it doesn't mean anything he's sick in the head fr Yeah this fucker is abusive as hell, what a psycho. It's scarier cause he acts perfectly normal usually woww that's kinda realistic to irl serial killers. Yeah kloff is really gross, his mindset his behaviour, it's textbook manipulative and possessive and abusive, so the 'romance' feels icky Despite it all the story is interesting so I'll give it that, I do want to know what happens next even if literally every single character is shitty on some level except rapiel

This is sooo good, it's rlly fun and wholesome. I admit I'm not the most invested in rudiger and judith's romance because I find rudiger a bit bland, but everyone else is super fun, Luca is great I like how u can see he def prob used his wish to get a redo or smthing like that Also the royal family ball is hysterical can u imagine being one of the ppl there???! So much tea and drama holy shit Aw yeah Luca clearly feels complicated about everyone, it's like super obvious why he's acting the way he does tho, and thats only knowing the tidbits Judith mentions instead of reading the entire novel like she did, so it's funny she can't piece it together --- ah I spoke too soon, there are some memory shenanigans at play here honestly the plot is so interesting that I'm kinda peeved when the romance scenes interrupt it XD Triple plot twist!!!!! Although lowkey the fact it was acc her life and not a novel feels kinda weirdly outta nowhere, like it doesn't really add anything substantial to the story, but it's not a big deal Also all the girls are rlly fucking pretty, like every single female character... Victoria, it's Victoria y'all I love when she's on page Okay yeah I see why people say the ending was rushed, because if the massive exposition dumps and reveals at the end, but it honestly didn't feel too bad I think there were hints about everything except the holy grail belonging to the royals, and that's so minor it doesn't even really matter It was a satisfying ending, I'm glad Luca (as the lowkey real protagonist) finally got his wish to be happy

idc i love this to bits, i've reread it so many times over the years honestly regarding the romance and stuff it didn't feel that painstakingly, it was acc sweet and they bond rlly cutely, i forgot how fun ren acc is like he isn't bland at all surprisingly, and kyoko is the besttt. like this is real slowburn and they actually feel like they're falling in love, like all older shoujo, especially because people forget that kyoko's main story is being an actress and the romance is secondary to that -- which she states outright!! they both basically confessed but also what to hold off until they achieve their goals,,,,, that's sooooo cool of them. hmm that said my only complaint is i acc prefer the old artstyle, dorito proportions aside I acc liked it lol, it was still pretty, just old-school, and I feel it was way more effective at displaying the emotions -- like it made the drama and emotion of it all work when it otherwise woulda been embarassing
