Sucks, this dynamic would've been so fun and cute if they hadn't dived into it such that it feels like I'm starting halfway through the story, there's no real introduction to the characters or a build-up / proper showcase of their dynamic, just a rushed storyline so they can get to the smut/ dramatic moments, which don't hit hard without the proper build up first
Also honestly ik it's in the title and all but the gangster being an undercover cop feels like a cop out (pun intended lol) and it honestly would've been way more interesting if he really was a gangster
If anything this reminded me how fun tidal wave is and how much better they did the plot twist so now I'm gonna go reread that for the tenth time lolll
